- In today's vlog we check into the last Disney resort on our list! We've stayed at them all now! This was an exciting stay. We get ready for the trip and then head over and tour the room. We also got the quick service dining plan which is something new to us too! We have dinner at the Riviera which was just a short skyliner ride away from the Boardwalk. It was a great first night!

Jackson has gotten to where he is good for making me belly laugh at least 3 times per video. “It looks like a popcorn” and “they have little tiny feet” had me rolling! 😂
I love this so much! I worked at the Boardwalk in housekeeping and it holds such a special place in my heart.
Boardwalk is my favorite. We stay there as often as we can.
Lucy is the elephant. She is a national historic landmark. Built in 1881, she has served as a tavern in the past, and a real estate office at another time. She has been in many states of disrepair over the years, but most recently was completely restored to all of her glory and sits along the boardwalk in Margate New Jersey, close to Atlantic City. I saw her for the first time in 1970 and have visited her many times over the years. I love visiting her now when she is standing tall and beautiful. Your room is a replica of all of the old boardwalk hotels in Atlantic City prior to it becoming all about gambling.
We have vacationed in Ocean City, NJ for over 50 years. I always loved traveling up to Margate and visiting Lucy The Elephant, when I was a kid.
This Disney Resort Hotel really captures that East Coast NJ Boardwalk vibe. Love it!

Happy Mother’s Day Jenn from one mom to another! I hope you enjoyed your weekend and had fun and relaxation! Honestly, I know how difficult being a mom is (whether you have nannies, or like a lot of people do, drop their kids off at daycare from 8am-6pm at 3 months old…) I think you do an amazing job at holding your tongue when so many people comment telling you how to raise your kids, and ironically they don’t have kids or are ones whose kids spend over 40 hours a week at daycare.) Or you have three choices, X,Y, Z.. and no matter which you do, you get critiqued. You’re a great Mom, and put up with a lot, and take the higher road every single time. You have a beautiful, amazing family and your Mom would be proud of you, and all you have accomplished ❤️❤❤
I literally think this every single time I read some of these comments. Parents complaining about a nanny/mother’s helper when the person commenting has no kids or sticks their kid in daycare for 40-50 hours a week. In today’s world, no family can survive on one income. Both parents work one way or another. I would 100% rather be able to work from home then have my child in a daycare 🤦🏽♀️

Side note: as far as the Disney Dining plan- which I know inside & out, Tim & Jenn are NOT complaining and are NOT starving Oliver by not buying a plan for him. You cannot buy a plan for a child under 3. They are telling you to watch when you pay so that kids under 3yo are not actually charged (as in deducting one of Jackson’s paid meals.) When you’re on vacation, things move quickly and a lot of folks wouldn’t think to look, especially since it’s a prepaid meal plan based on “meal credits.” And it does make a difference and yes Disney will fix it, but easier and quicker to fix it at the restaurant than have to call on the phone. Most parents complain about buying the dining meal for kids 4-5 years old BECAUSE there is typically a lot of food included depending on which plan you buy. Kids don’t wind up eating all of their food, and the dining plan isn’t cheap. It all depends on how you use the plan and which plan you buy. This is not directed at folks who watched the video and just legit didn’t know how it works. For those who do so well googling so much other info on their computers, for Heaven’s sake, google the dining plan before you spend time commenting on Oliver not getting to be on the plan. You’d gain years of your life back if you step away from your computers lol. Life’s too short folks, kindness is free, bully & trolling also free, but really does show your true character. Have an amazing week!

That elephant in the lobby also reminds me of Lucy the Elephant, which is a historic landmark down the Jersey Shore. (In Margate to be exact, which is just south of Atlantic City.) 🐘💚

The Boardwalk has the most useful feature in WDW--location, location, location. A short walk to EPCOT and a slightly longer walk to Hollywood Studios, so many options all around you.

I can’t wait to see the boys on the bike.
I know what the rides were on the cabinet. One is definitely an old roller coaster, another is the classic moving floor, a classic maypole, and a classic side coaster. They don’t make most of them anymore except the roller coaster. The moving floor was stopped in the 1950s as it was a balancing act trying to stand on one. The side coaster was replaced by the steeplechase. Maypoles were common but it didn’t do much. The last maypole was Disney at the empty space in Disneyland.
I remember thinking that everyone was raised the same as me. It was a shock to learn about other families/cultures. Imagine what Jackson is going to think when he finds out other kids don't go to Disney resorts or cruises every other month.
My home resort, THE BOARDWALK, LOVE IT! Fun on the Boardwalk with entertainment, game room is fun, eats on Boardwalk good, Boat to Hollywood studios , walk to Epcot or boat ride, walk to Dolphin and Swan, go for a great sundae ant the Yacht club …..Bike rides, game room, movies, toasting marshmallows , fun pools…….YOU WILL LOVE IT,! 🙏🏽❤️🌴🏚️🏚️
Tim is the best at doing room and resort tours, but after this vlog I would love to see Jackson attempt a review. His comments throughout were so cute and funny!! Oh, and Oliver's outfit with the hat was beyond cute!!! I love staycation vlogs!!
We LOVE the boardwalk! Make sure y’all catch some of the boardwalk entertainment (magicians, circus acts, comedians, etc) in the evening!!!

We went there for the character breakfast and ride the bicycles. The resort is modeled after boardwalk towns like Cape May, NJ, named one of Americas best beach towns. We just got back from Cape May, and it was neat to see how well some of the details were done at the resort versus the real thing.
When magic Kingdom first opened in the 70’s they had swan boats as a ride, thats why the Mickey & Minnie picture

Tim: "Primo...Patio" 😂 It means "first plate". Its the first course of an Italian meal, usually pasta, after the appetizers (antipasti) and before the entrees (secondi)
The Boardwalk was one of our best stays. Really love the Epcot resorts!
This is my favorite hotel so far. Great pools entertainment and overall beautiful to walk around

@@bridgetclement2968 i have some from eagle and amazon. Get to hotel, toss in drawers, suit case under bed! I use one for meds, camera stuff and cords etc. i can get more into suitcase!
Such a beautiful part of Disney property. I love walking on the Boardwalk. Such a pretty place to just sit or stroll. I'd love to do a staycation at one of the resorts....hopefully one day😊. Looks like it was a great time! Thank you for bringing us along! Huge hugs and love to you guys xoxo
We are so excited the Quick Service Plan is back. We have always used that plan. Even if it doesn't save us any money per say, we just love the ease and convenience of using it. Our next trip down there will be Christmas next year and staying at AOA again - which is where we always stay.

Maybe that room used to be DVC? The empty space was for a table or kitchen and the empty cupboard in the bathroom was for the washer and dryer?

No comforters now??!! I haven’t been since Covid. Was there Christmas 2019, at Boardwalk DVC.

I asked my brother, who is a fireman in the Orlando area. He said you can get a tour there. You'll just have to ring the doorbell and be like hey can I have a tour.
Sometimes there is someone there, but you also have to work around them because they could be on call, but thats the same with all firehouses. It's like russian roulette.

Love it! We stayed at the Boardwalk inn side for our honeymoon and we had the same problem. we would have to go up steps and then back down by the bar just to get out to the boardwalk. And our room was close to espn zone at the time so we wished we couldve just had an exit over there without having to back track

What are the odds?!! I was looking at rooms at The Boardwalk for my upcoming visit to Disney at the end of May! I mean, I have been to Boardwalk so many times but only for the food and entertainment, so I thought about staying here next time 😍 I appreciate how you pronounced Ricotta, Jenn.
We love the Boardwalk Inn! I do think I preferred the old design of the rooms to this remodel. The rooms look colder, less comfortable. I know hotels are going with the no carpet look now, but I like carpeting.
