Great vid Mike as always. Can you explain a bit more in the next vid about wide-banding a radio? I've heard the tech talk, just never heard it explained. Peace my brother.
NICE!!! Realize that recording 1 song in a studio may take several hours. The majority of that time is spent setting up for the desired sound. Instruments, amps, room acoustics, mixing boards, all have to be dialed in to perfection. The playing of the song is the easy part. What you have done here is a reflection of that kind of perfection. Killer content! Keep it coming, Brother! 👍 😑🦗
Nice job bro. Those 800 series mics are cool. When I ran one before I got the SM7B, I converted the 800 from side address to end address. I ran that config on ssb HF for years. Always got good reports.
Yes, I run a Behringer digital effects and audio processor through my V7 EQ. Click the link below and you can hear how my set up sounds👇🏻 ua-cam.com/video/gvmtFfO-3ig/v-deo.html
204- what is the advantage of wide banding the radio? I have a 955 and want better modulation and some punch. If I get the v6 equalizer and a studio mic, should I have the radio wide banded? Thanks
The modulation circuitry in the radio is limited considering frequency response, so therefore to truly widen the curve response of vocals going into the radio some wide band mods are desired so you can transmit the broader range of sound including bass, mid, and even treble, these mods are for direct injection which will bypass the audio circuit altogether. Some say it’s overkill for just being CB and yeah to a degree it is, but it’s all in what you want to sound like. The pro audio guys are growing, now it’s just not about watts! 73 👋🏻
@@GroundControl204 if people only knew how you can’t spank somone out there in dx with the right audio yes watts deff deff help but with no good audio they’re just a duck with a target on their back .. I will own a davemade transmitter some day.. but for now all my money is going into this dual 15k I’m slowly getting all my parts together to build
Hey brother I watched a few of your videos about using 8 band EQ I have the one with the knobs…ok here we go I have a cobra 2000 I’m running it into I clipped the wires in a stock mic to use as a PTT I have a studio mic WITH the XLR cord running to the little hole on the right side in the front of the EQ and it has no sound thru the studio mic is there somthing I need to do instead of just clipping the 2 wires to make it a ptt?
@@GroundControl204 hey my brotha.. I bought a 48volt phantom power supply today and I got the studio mic up and running… thanks for your help and the videos … I heard you talking to another guy like a week ago I tried to make the contact but I had no conditions.. it was on a channel I never talked on before like 14 or 31 somthing like that.. I had my big big on full tilt too… now what I need to do is go searching for how to install talk back in one of my cobra 2000’s what’s weird is I used to have it well with a little adjusting of pulling the mic jack like half out of the mic jack in the back of the radio lol
I got my system working, cobra 29 variable power, v6 EQ, MXL mic, can I add a rack mount effects ? Do I need the radio modded to take advantage of the high quality audio?
28:21 Stock mic VS CB EQ demonstration
I listened to the audio demonstration, sounded awesome on my TV, way better than that stock mic. It’s all about that bass. 73
Thank you sir, I appreciate you tuning in.
wow! I wish my 29 sounded that good. I have to find out how to send this guy my gear...

Thanks for tuning in, and yes I will do a video on wide banding radios. But, each model is a little different, same concept though. 73

Is that mic a condenser microphone? If it is a true condenser mic there must be a 48v phantom power supply for it to function.

Wide band mods for the radio are really needed for this equalizer to shine brighter, but it’s not a must.
