Well, Zheng'er didn't 'grow up' with her around. She didn't have the same 'connection' she had, for her, it felt like ChengJiao was her 'first' grandson. Plus, rumors got to her, on Zheng's paternity. I think Yiren's mom really underestimated her son's cunning, because it's her son, she just wanted to protect him and not got him cuckolded.
You forgot “obsessed.” At this point, her ruining Hao Lan’s life is so pointless. Like even if Hao Lan is gone, Zichu will just marry another woman...he will not be with Princess Ya ever. 😓
Seriously, what is wrong with that princess Ya...she is the most annoying villain ever. Not even that clever, just so persistent.
