I have never heard better songs than these.The artists are no more but their songs and music lives on forever in this world. These immortal songs were created when technology was still in its infancy. In fact, the entire movie's dialogues were in poetry form which were written by Kaifi Saheb and are a masterpiece in itself. What a clarity of music, lyrics, pronunciation and voices. Though some people are critical of the album being in Hindi(for mass appeal) rather than Punjabi as it would be more authentic in the context and style of music it was a great masterpiece by Madan Mohan and Kaifi Azmi. There never was before this and since such a haunting love song as 'Meri Duniya main tu Aaye" Mohd. Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar are just unbelievably brilliant in their performances and expression of love and intimacy-Madan Mohan created a work of genius as it was so unusual as a composition and arrangement, there is a real sense of narrative and deep intimacy.
