You should have included the other sad version of Zindagi tou bewafa hai, sung by the great Mohammad Rafi. Indeed that was the only song which tells everything in the end and Rafi sahab has sung that song, one could only imagine. They say that, for that song KA and film producer wanted emotional and sad voice and Kiahore Da referred it to Rafi instead of singing himself. Music directors KalymnajeeAnandjee felt a bit uncomfortable asking Rafi sahab to sing just 2 lines when all other songs of the film were sung by Kishore da and Rafi's student Maherndra. They thought, Rafi would feel it or may refuse but Kiahore Da insisted to get the song sung by Rafi only. They approached Rafi sahab and he, as usual said not a single word. Agreed to sing, which later made everyone cry in the cinemas. How great were those all legendary singers, those directors...
