xu xin is back !!!! from 1-3 to 4-3 DAMN this guy is astonishingly amazing
There were some incredible rotations, especially from Xu Xin. Great mach.
These guys have epic games! TT doesn't get much better than this!
Amazing match and a great video to watch for skill and strategy!
What an amazing match! XX's mental strength won that!
Amazing stuff!
Amazing match and good quality man!Thanks a lot,I liked it!:)
Absolutely incredible match!!!
Holy speed glue! Two world class lefthanders, quick as hell means all about the forehand!
Will Timo ever get this shape again?
one of the best matches ever!!! timo can really play with the Chinese!
I think Xu Xin has one of the best attitudes of any table tennis player...
This is the first match I saw of Boll being pissed off after the match. He didn't even shake Xu's hand properly, which he ususally does when he loses. Absolutely comprehensible of course, since Xu didn't show any sportsmanship.
Boll believe xu's hit twice, xu deny it. We cannot confirm it in the video so don't take boll's side and assume xu cheated =.=.
hunkeelin I'm taking Boll's side because he definitively is one of the fairest players in the world. He would have no reason to accuse Xu of hitting it twice if it wasn't true. Just my point of view.
By the way Xu is one of my personal favorite players, just sayin'.
I don't really understand, why Olympia is so important for them, yeah it's a big tournament, but the german open, the world championsships, the china open where better represented, because there aren't just 2 mens or womans, who are aloud to play! But it is one of the best video's of this great tournament! Thank you for uploading this !!! :D:D
Xu Xin hits the ball twice, you can see that in Bolls reverse Serve. The ball should go in the left direction instead of the right one because of the spin.
Awesome match
Timo was AWESOME that time
xx improved a lot year by year....2013's xx is much better than 2010's xx
ok, so one side claims he hit it twice, and one side claims he hit it once.... I couldn't personally tell from this video who was correct. Simply stating the rule that hitting it twice is illegal, doesn't prove that he in fact hit it twice.... XX should frankly know if he hit it twice or not.
An Awesomr Match!!!
one of the best games i see
5:02
what an amazing comeback!
I agree in the fact that fair play is one of the most important things in table tennis, but I must say, 1 point in 1 set when you're leading the match is no excuse for losing. He might have lost the next point, but there is no reason to keep thinking on that the rest of the game.
Very Good
What a amazing game.
@salseroberlinense i can't find the slow-mo in the vod
maybe it was a feature in the live-broadcast
7:26 is the best point in the history of TT.
@ChenWeixing92 Rosskopf also says that it is important as a table tennis player to be able to leave the table in the end with a pure conscience and that xu xin wasnt able to do it today.
wow, great match with awesome rallies! btw is prause still german head coach or was he replaced by rosskopf?
Also, I have not seen Xu Xin's latest matches, Its been a while since I watched him. Maybe he is getting the reverse penhold backhand going better now, I don't know. That would be great, I hope he does.
So I've just read the rules and in rule 2.10.01.06, it says you can't hit the ball twice in succession on purpose. It doesn't really mention what happens if you accidentally do it, which is what i think happened in Xu Xin's case. Does anyone else have more info on this?
Хu Xin showed hes character in this battle...
am really glad for him
they both play cool anyway!!
It is good all the way.
@MrRothhaendle
Can u actually see that on the video? For me it's too fast. Or the resolution is too bad?
What happened exactly? And what an EPIC match.
i don't think it hit twice, can anyone confirm that?
@ChessArmyCommander is it like ma lin?
@MrRothhaendle
The ittv slow motion is not online, is it?
@MrLegendman13 A chinese with attitude, that's great! =)
which part of this match?
Incredible Match. There were no lazy points. Boll seemed kind of pissed off at the end.
This is one of my favourite matches ever! Too bad Boll didn't win
@ChenWeixing92 isnt it what i wrote?
@salseroberlinense on the video u can guess it
but on ittv they had a slow-motion of this situation and u can clearly see it
(xu would do these gestures if he'd be unguilty, though)
jörg rosskopf and boll complained about xu's fairplay in a interview on tischtennis.de (too bad it's not in englisch). and i totally agree with timo!
I just became the fun of Timo!!!!
@luzok seriously. amen bro
Here's the deal people: what Xu did in this match was illegal when it was done. However, the ITTF changed the rules a few months after this match, making what Xu did there legal. But Xu knew it was illegal when he did it and should have given the point to Timo, as we all know Timo would have done the same.
it's normal in xu xin...lossing 2-0 but at the end...win....incredible.
great match +1 :)
What a match!..
The Chinese players have extended Psychological edge in close matches. They show it again and again. Impressive to say atleast. I really wonder how they can be som tuff mentally
hmmm, at least from what I saw I don't see anything impossible about his hit... all he does is sideswipe at it. Which is a bit of an unusual move if you are shakehand, but as a penhold I see Ma Lin do a short shot like that all the time. That versatility is what makes penhold so great at the short game.
love Xu Xins t shirt
Timo sooo deserved the win
Timo boll at his best
powerful forehand...
@simpanz he was replaced.
No one euro player beat Xu Xin yet! great match! So bad Xu lost with ma Lin.
Xu Xin hit the ball twice and this was not compliant to rules. So it was Boll's point for sure ans Xu definitely knew that. The rule changed short time after this match and till 9/1/2010 a point is "if an opponent deliberately strikes the ball twice in succession" index 2.10.01.06 (The Laws of Table Tennis).
timo didnt seem to be amuse by loosing that match..u can tell in his look...amazing match..
fantastic match!timo should have won
I don't think xu xin bite ball twice ,,, it seems impossible to hit ball twice in that short moment 呵呵
Coolest outfit ever from Xu Xin :D
Just as a clarification... Everyone is getting angry over the double hit, which is now legal because it wasn't on purpose, but at the time of this match it was illegal. Ok got it, so the double hit was because it hit his finger then the paddle? And the finger counts as part of the paddle? So it's like hitting the paddle twice yeah?
Insane. I could watch these two battle it out for hours.
Timo put up a good battle but xu xin came back, that's why he's ranked #1
5:01
So much difference in Xu xin 2010, and Xu xin 2012
xu xin verry good
anyone notice they're both left handed?
So hard for Xu!
@Joosehyukful he said: "very fair" ironically
what was illegal?
i hope I can play like them in my next life.
Hi how are you ? This your message ten years ago , did you improve your table tennis skill as you wish as ten years ago ?
@@kokboonshin4850 no...I have not played in a while. Thank you for asking.
Xu Xin hit the handle of his paddle which, per the rule at the time, was an illegal double hit.
@MrRothhaendle in the interview timo said that he dominated the game and could have won the game with 4:1 perhavs even 4:0.
Furthermore he says that in the end xu xin played a little bit better but he betrayed timo at one point,when he didnt call that double touch.
He also say that it was a good match but to loose it that way is bitter.
Rosskopf just mentions that timo is a 100 percent fair player,so in his opinion it is sad that there are athletes who arent interested in fair play.
Oh yeah ...
der hat den ball mit seinem finger und schläger berührt was bis dato als 2 schläge galt jetzt nach 2010 ist es nur noch 1 schlag aber es zählt halt als fehler und xu xin hat den punkt abgegeben
Unlucky loss :(
You can't know it was a double hit. Xu Xin is clearly saying it hit just the tip of his finger which was legal even back then.
timo is tight
I suddenly have the urge to go play table tennis games on miniclip :/
@tyoungos does anyone else get the feeling tyoungos is a chinese fan boy who has 10 other accounts and always gives himself 10 thumbs up?
wtf! 3:55 look at these shots! what a force!
timo!
*it was the 6th set
5:00
(never saw boll this pissed off)
@tyoungos athelic ability to sheat?
7:11 wtf nice timo boll!!
Blowing 3-1 leads before it was cool
No it's not. As an umpire I didn't see any lines the rule book to allow this. Or else other rules will be contradicted.
that isn't the fist time that timo lost a match like that
LEFTY BATTLE FTWWWWW.
5:13
Timo Boll : Very Fair :D
Timo Boll wird schlagfertig
I like Xu Xin's forehand a bit better than Ma Lin's dare I say it.
Are you joking? Number one, I hardly feel like what happened warrants such strong language, and number 2, what did he do that wasn't fair play? The ball hit his finger, and he admitted it. A ball hit off the finger, as long as its the finger on the hand holding the paddle is allowed.
Astonishing match, WOW!
But Timo really should have won 4:1 - too bad :(
This is the one time I will not root/vouch for Xu Xin because he may have done an unfair thing at a crucial point of the game by not admitting his fault...
This clearly angered Timo and may have led to his downfall.
Anyway, Timo got his revenge in 2011 :)
2011 and 2013. 2013 Xu Xin was number one
ok I'm pausing this video at the 2:00 mark to say... FUCK YEAH!! GO TIMO!!! you got this!! amazing he's the only one who can loop with the chinese... I'll finish this comment after I watch the rest
noooooooooo timooooo ahhhhh how could go
@skstv2010 Are you blind? Wang Hao doesn't have to cover huge amounts of space awkwardly from a bad position because of backhand weakness no where near the extent that Xin does, if at all. I've seen Xin kill himself trying to get a forehand in from a bad position over and over. I guarantee you he won't last as long as Wang Hau has if Xin keeps playing like that.
徐新应加强跑动练习
Xu Xin has pissed me off!
XU XIn roools !!!!!!!!!!
