    That has be one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen. It would take me at least an hour to change the battery in my Vespa. It will never happen. I love you Mitch. I can tell you are a talented mechanic and a caring person. Best of luck.

    Very helpful video! Note: the clock in my 2009 Fly 150 used a GP386 battery. (The 357 fit, but was too tall so I couldn’t screw on the back battery cover.)

    I need your help. I just bought a 2010 Fly 150. The turn signals don't work. The right one will come on after a delay of around 10 seconds. Where is the controller if that is the problem and where do I find one. Love your videos.

    I don't even have a scooter and I watch these... I dunno why. :-)
    You have had that scooter apart so many times you could probably do it in your sleep.
    And man... why does it have to be so much trouble to replace a battery? That's crazy!
    And last... the graphics in the speedometer/tach... man... we could design new graphics, print them... and make it custom.
    (just saying... I think of strange stuff huh?)

  • @techguy3507

    1:28, my Fly 150 allows you to change the battery from the back. I wouldn’t want to open the instrument panel if I didn’t have to. It’s a bit tricky from the back but it works.

    Love your videos, thanks Mitch. I changed my clock battery today on my Piaggio Fly 150 ie. Quick question though, why did you open up the instrument panel when you can actually get to the battery just from the back? This is how i changed my battery. Maybe my model is slightly different? Cheers.

    • @pandabear682
      @pandabear682 7 років тому

      Yeah they are set up so you can change it from the back of the instrument panel BUT, there is no way my battery would come out without taking out the clock assembly and levering the battery out. So the way Mitch did it is the best way.

    • @boxhead7180
      @boxhead7180 7 років тому +1

      Yep. Got at the battery on the missus Fly through the hole in the back of the instrument panel. Unscrew the little cap and pried the battery out with a tiny flat blade screwdriver.

    Hi just bought a yamaha Zuma 2003 two stroke, Was wondering what mods i could do to make it faster?, I heard from many that I should get and exhaust first, then if I do a big bore kit i should get a new carburetor . Is it possible to only get an exhause or only get an big bore? without harming the scooter?

  • @Nonickelone
    @Nonickelone 3 місяці тому

    At 1:22, you can see the round hole with the soft-plastic battery seal cover on the back of the cockpit.
    (Top right of the red connectors)
    If you just pull the seal out, you can replace the battery from that position without the need for the rest of the steps in this video.
    I replaced mine last week through that opening just to learn that the module is burnt-out and i need to replace the hole part.

    Most bikes/scooters with a time clock fitted as standard uses the main battery for power rather than having its own little battery.
    What a cheap and nasty idea - Piaggio clearly trying to cut corners and save a few bob. but do love Mitch's passion, enthusiasm and patience.

    V386 battery on mine Fly50 T2 - 2008 model , not V357... And the battery is possible to change without dismantling the dash, its a rubber cap behind the clock.

    I think I will modify my one by soldering a wire to the battery compartment and run it to a battery tray with a AAA battery. Should be easy to mount outside the instrument panel somewhere.

    I have a 2003 Piaggio LT50. Trying to replace the headlight. Do you have any videos for that? Tried to remove all the screws that i can but there seems to be something that I am missing. Recently cleaned carb, replaced vacuum operated fuel valve etc. So i have some skill for these things but I cant seem to figure this out. Repair shops are too expensive. Please help.

    • @MitchsScooterStuff
      @MitchsScooterStuff  6 років тому

      Bummer I dont have any videos on LT50 :( Maybe there are some tabs that was stuck on? or hidden screws from inside?

    • @rev367
      @rev367 6 років тому

      Actually, i figured it out. Your video helped me know how to open the cover. Then there is a tab i had to push on followed by twisting the bulb anticlockwise while pushing it in. Just explaining as it could be useful to anyone else looking. The left side mirror had a bolt at the bottom that i did not recognized immediately which was another problem in the process. Thanks a lot

    I see your speedometer is (primarily) marked in MPH. My 2014 Piaggio Fly 150-3V is primarily marked in KPH and it's hard to read. Is yours an overlay? If so, where did you get it?

    It's just too crazy for words that you have to demolish your entire dashboard to replace a clock battery. just connect something like that to the main battery, done. I suspect it's not much different with the New Fly. I also see it with Italian-made machines, they make beautiful things, but they forget that you have to get an easy one afterwards to replace something.
