Smart writing and direction. Her fight scenes make her look aggressive as a provoked wasp and can actually handle powerful opponents.
I love the fight between Hope and Ava and how their powers interact with one another. Ghost's phasing and invisibility is by far superior to the shrinking powers of the pym suits when it comes to stealth and infiltration. However, I think the pym suits offer safer ways to attack without getting hit back since Ava must go tangible for her to hit someone and in that moment she becomes vulnerable, although she have shown that she can make only selected body parts intangible. We've yet to know the extent of her abilities, so we need her to return.
Now if Hannah John-Kamen (Ava) had those same powers as her character in Dark Crystal AoR (Naia), the Skeksis wouldn't have stood a chance.

The Earth's Mightest heroes cartoon introduced me to her as a kid, and I'm so glad they made her just as powerful and badass in the MCU
Wise man. He used to protect his daughter from harm's way by keeping HER away from the dangers itself. Now he's giving the suit to her so that SHE can protect herself anytime, especially when the father is not around. He won't always be there to protect her and is getting older.
I still love Hope van Dyne as Wasp in the MCU, especially since she is beautiful and badass. I really hope she gets more time to shine in "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania".

@@jayayj5574 To be honest, the movie focused on Ant-Man & Kang the most, which was exactly what was needed. Because this is Ant-Man's movie and Scott was already sidelined so much in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Hope was practically the lead in the second movie, which was fine but wouldn't be great if Quantumania was the same.

She has all the "safe" upgrades. Ant-man has the experimental one which is giant man. It plays into their character as Hope is the heiress, but is still protected from the harmful side effects of by her parents' design. Scott is more willing to use himself as a sacrificial piece so his suit is intentionally less capable in addition having a function that allows him to serve as a decoy and cause as much damage as possible.
I honestly don't see it. They made wasp just to be the competent one in the pair but didn't give her personality..which they did for antman. Couldn't be more obvious than in quantumania.

Wasp's new blasters (or stingers) 6:09 in Endgame look awesome, definitely an upgrade from AMATW.

@@LG-vd6wt They definitely gave her blaster an upgrade, just watch 6:09 her blasters lit up and she blasted the aliens with some major electric stinger (left corner side of the screen) next to Nebula and then to the right of Rescue blasting Thanos. You can see her shape shifted to human size with the wings and then the blast happened.

@@LG-vd6wt Perhaps there are multiple setting to her blasters, but I just thought her blasters in AMATW was underwhelming. They hardly do anything to Ghost and in the hotel lobby scene. That scene 6:15 with her blasting Thanos with Rescue and Shuri is so badass :)

I absolutely love (Hope Van Dyne) Wasp with her Wasp suit on. She's so beautiful, and outstandingly action packed, for how she is with suit's shrinking & enlarging, wings, and weapons (blasters & disc launchers). Also, she has better personality than (Scott Lang) Ant Man. It would be Marvelously great if we could see her, in her suit, have just as much as he, (Scott Lang) Ant Man, did; in addition, maybe have her own movie without him, since he was in Captain America Civil. Another thing, if we could see her enlarge to a giant Wasp. Pretty nice how she is, in Endgame, carrying Ant Man, fighting along side other Marvel female avengers/avenger allies, and using her blasters with stronger blast. If only we could see her in another Marvel women moment, with fighting along side Black Widow, Lady Sif, Jane Foster, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, and Rescue.
Scott is a better character than Hope. The writers tried so hard to make her the competent one that he became the more relatable one.
Worse part is that Scott himself is still underdeveloped. They just lucky to have Paul Rudd playing him.
In fact, I'd argue that that Wasp will not have a standalone because she's forever under Antman's shadow and a weaker character in comparison.
The Antman franchise only survives on being tied to the Avengers plot and by Paul Rudd's starpower.

When I said she's "weaker", I wasn't talking in physical sense. Scott, despite being a bland character himself, still has more conflicts on him than Hope, which makes him more interesting.

i think the only complaint I have here is that she's too small compared in comics. but in wasp size perspective, I think it's pretty accurate... I wish we'll see more of her and antman , instead of just being made as side characters. It felt like they're side characters even in their own movies.
Maybe Ant-Man and the Wasp : Quantumania will be different.
