Basically, Zeref loved her so much that his curse took the lead. Zeref is cursed in more ways than one.
No the way to get rid of the curse is love, that’s how to die. Zeref loved her so much she “died” but Mavis had a love and hate relationship so it didn’t affect him
Its because he was isolated from the world and didnt know love for centuries so his reaction to a sudden love was far greater than her who was isolated for months....

Boys are just easily get love to any girls they see at first while girls takes time to love a boy. Zeref got love at first sight with Mavis while Mavis only love him because she pity on him but not she's not fully committed to love him.
Mavis didn't loved him at the moment. What she felt towards him is compassion. Maybe Mavis do feel like she likes him. But she doesn't feel the same love Zeref feels for her. At least not as of this moment.

Zeref took the life of the only person he thought he couldn't kill on their first kiss, that was what took away the last bit of Zeref's sanity/humanity.
Yeah but what he still has a kind of peace time in Tenrou Island where he didn't want to kill anybody. It's probably because he had enough to kill people and then after so many years after he saw what Grimore Heart had done he just had enough of the cruelty of the humanity that's why he chose to kill all humans not only in a war..in a one side annihilation!

And somehow they end up with a kid. Either they smashed then Mavis lost her life or the uncanny way is to think Zeref did the deed after she became vegetable💀

@@luigimanzelli3786 wrong, in the manga is shown that mavis did not "died" right away, they lived together for a while and there is even a panel that shows both of them naked in a lake, implying that mavis got pregnant the regular way

I can see why Mavis would think she's responsible for many of the guild's problems. It was because of her condition, that Precht started his research of dark magic, which eventually corrupted him to become the leader of Grimoire Heart. And it was her curse that killed Makarov's mother, and a caring grandmother might well have stopped Ivan (Laxus' father) from going down the deep end too. And his father becoming a crazed outcast is certainly one of the main contributers, why Laxus temporarily went bonkers and nearly killed most of the guild members and significant parts of the entire town.
Of course nothing of those is actually her fault, but I can see why she would consider it to be different.
Hands down the BEST backstory in all of fairy tail. One of the best episodes/chapters also

What's funny is that Zeref learned how to love someone the way he loved Mavis. And that love killed Mavis. But do you wonder why it didn't do the same to Zeref?
Because this time, Mavis didn't love Zeref the same as Zeref does. What she felt this time is totally different. So in a sense, Zeref is the one who brought both Miracle and Tragedy to both himself and Mavis.
I know fairy tail isn't perfect but in terms of romance it is lightyears above other shonen anime🤷♂️

To understand why mavis dies even though she got the immortally curse is because Mavis didn't fully love Zeref, she only got pity on him but Zeref view it in another way, he instantly love her fully and the curse took mavis life because of Zeref's love for her.
No she did love him she was just conflicted n her love wasnt as strong as his was for her when i say conflicted i dont mean it in a bad way cuz she herself didnt know exactly cuz of her emotional state they also explain it later on too
The Curse of Contradiction is the single worst curse I've ever seen in any fantasy.
Who would thought a simple curse is deadly & complicated.

Mavis’ scream after Rita died will always stay with me. The VA did a great job of making it sound as bloodcurdling as possible.

The word prime means first or original. So primordial means first in and order or first in a sequence, it sort of means origin or source. For example the “primordial soup” was the goi in which life came from. In this context its the original source magic of the universe which magic came from.

Here's what'll bake your noodle. Zeref's curse took Mavis's life but Mavis's curse did not take Zeref's life. That means that, fundamentally, Mavis did not love Zeref as much as he loved her. Which is not to say that she didn't love him at all, but Zeref's feelings for Mavis were on a whole 'nother level.
It always felt a bit bullshit to me that Mavis was cursed for using Law once, while Zeref got cursed for spending years trying to find a way to bring the dead back to life. But in retrospect, the first 'sin' that Mavis committed was probably the illusion of Zera.
Eh, not really. After all, Zera was visible to her and her only. The others only knew about her because for Mavis, she was always there. But she wasn't alive per se, even Zera herself as an illusion knew that. No crime has been committed per se, since Mavis never realized Zera died a long time ago. And she disappeared just as soon as she was forced to acknowledge that fact.
As for how Zeref and Mavis caught the curse, true that it was quicker for Mavis who instantly decided with a insanely powerful spell of Yuri's survival. If it wasn't the dragon and was, instead, Blue Skull's master at the time for example, the latter would've died already, since that spell was imperfect. The modern version is way more lenient on life in comparison. The use of that spell - the decision on who shall live or die - is what got her cursed in an instant.
As for Zeref, I think what got him ultimately cursed is a long process of denial that reached its peak when that teacher firmly scolded him, and hitting him with that realization that his brother wouldn't revive, ever. I think what ultimately got Zeref to be cursed is that, despite being hit by that hard, cold truth, he STILL couldn't let go of the fact that his brother wouldn't come back as he was, despite fully knowing he was dead. That internal contradiction is what got him to get the curse of the same name.
That was my theory. Until someone told him the hard cold truth, Zeref wouldn't doubt that Natsu could come back.
@@percevalmahpouyas9933 If using Law automatically results in being cursed then Zeref wouldn't have taught the spell. Beyond that, the idea that using Law to kill (or not kill) someone warrants punishment while all the other ways we have seen people kill, spare or save people with magic just seems weird.
For Zera, even if Mavis was usually the only one able to see her, either she managed to anchor Zera's soul with that illusion, or she made a new consciousness with it.
@@TheHunterkiller96zeref taught mavis fairy law but warned her that it takes at least 10 years to master n thats why its imperfect when she used it cuz it was at the time a black magic spell with the intent to kill(i think) but over time the spell changed to what it is now the thing with zera always confused me cuz if u think bout it zera wasnt nice to mavis at all mavis was the only one that wanted to be her friend n the fact that zera was self aware that she was a illsion too n what happens when she shows up again also confuses me
@@tyladean6794 Law needing 10 years to master should have no bearing on a god deciding to curse Mavis for hubris. I can kind of buy it being the final straw, but not it being the only straw, hence why I think Zera was the first one.
For Zera, it likely relates to what she was feeling while dying as Mavis tried to run away with her.
@@TheHunterkiller96 true true but i think it also has to do with how powerful fairy law was just like how zeref was the first to create magic cuz of the love he had for his bro he created something so powerful that it cursed him i can ramble on bout the whole situation n stuff but i dont wanna anyways the fact that it was a black magic spell, she didnt master it, how powerfull it is, n how it has the power over life or death on a person came into play

I might sound cringe but by this point of the story, this backstroy of zeref and mavis had me in delression.
First of all...i had caught up to fairytail and would have no more episodes to binge watch which i had been doing for past four months. Fairytail became a part of routine so it was like you wont see your loved one for a long time
I didnt know anime episodes come out weekly so i thought i will have to wait months and years for new episodes.
And then this backstory had me in tears and sadness lol.
Me being addicted to anime (cuz i was a beginner at that time) can also be one reason this part of fairyail made me sad af.
When you have been watching a series for a long time , and suddenly there comes a time for you to say goodbye...IT HURTS.

When the 2 curses collided, they created a contradiction but not that of killing an immortal, but rather a new Life was created, later it is known that Mavis is pregnant, but there was no physical time for her and Zeref they did it. That baby was born inside Mavis as a result of the clash of curses, 2 curses that should kill create a new life. Mavis was left in that state of Coma/suspended animation, since when this happened, the baby "absorbed" all of Mavis' life force, leaving her in that state. Mavis thinks that she died because Zeref's curse was stronger, because she does NOT know that she had a son.
Then explain wtf happened in that lake a few episodes in the future???😆😆
This is bullshit. Mavis just didn't love him enough for curse to work. They already had sex, she just didn't tell about it to the guild.
In the manga that scene never happens, it was just a cover which basically takes it out of Canon@@estefanahornea1962

Zeref x Mavis is the worst ship in Fairy Tail. Especially with how the spoiler character enters the story because of it. I dont know what the writer was thinking with that.
Mashima off-screened the deed. Since other spoiler character's spoiler spell affects Mavis when it can only affect those who experienced it before.
My beautiful Mavis suffered too much, she didn't deserve so much 💔😭 it hurts to see when she sees Makarov with eyes of so much love and gives him her name and the pain she feels when she sees Rita die... Thinking that it is her fault, it is also painful for her to take him away. without wanting the life of other living beings... But the worst thing is the end because they didn't just give each other a kiss... It wasn't even 5 seconds, there was more than one kiss that's why she "dies" damn damn 😭 I hate seeing her again mavis so depressed and turned into nothing 💔
