I was never able to get anywhere in this game... but this music here is my most fond memory of this game! I think I just let the game sit while this music played for hours!!
I love the music from this game! Really takes me back. I remember playing this as a kid, levelling up too fast, and getting my butt kicked by all the strong enemies. I also remember starving to death in the dark depths of a cave. Good times.
This is an unusually long and complex tune for the NES, especially early NES. This game didn't get nearly the attention on that system that it deserved.
The game is an easy piece of cake as long as you know what to do and what order. Number one tip don't go to the king and game a level until you're ready to finish the game 🙂
Easily the best dam track in the entire game!!! When my younger brother & I were kids & our parents got us our very own NES complete with Super Mario Bros & Duck Hunt, they also got us 6 other awesome games to go with it & among them was Ultima Exodus, the very first RPG I ever played. Thanks to this classic, I've been a hardcore RPG fanatic ever since. Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy Tactics, Mana, Fire Emblem, Super Mario RPG, Dragon Warrior/Quest, Lunar, The Legend of Dragoon, Valkyrie Profile, Ogre Battle, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, Fallout (preferably the original turn based-style games from Interplay & Black Isle Studios. Bethesda's Fallout games are pretty good as well but I much prefer 1, 2 & Fallout Tactics), Suikoden, Arcanum, Vagrant Story, Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Jade Empire, Diablo, Mass Effect, The Witcher, Dragon Age, Bloodborne, Nioh, the Mario & Luigi series, The Elder Scrolls, Breath of Fire, Dark Souls, KOTOR, Fable & Unlimited Saga to name a few of my favorite RPGs & its all thanks to Ultima Exodus :)
Great list of games in there. My love of RPGs started with Dragon Warrior instead of Exodus but I got a used Exodus cart a few years later and loved it. The music is so great in this game, especially this track during character creation.
Gosh I love that NES chiptune sound. Sounds even better on my old TV :-D crank up that bass! The original Japanese version is pretty interesting too, although quite a bit different... Very 80s sounding ha.
42 years old and this game was so hard when i first got it, it got put away. I returned to my Nintendo around age 12 and my mind had evolved to the point where I put 2 and 2 together and realized, what if I beat these pirates, do I get their ship.... And pooof
I just want to add, all of you children of the eighties and early 90s, Im 42, I love you all, we have to save the world. We're the last generation that didn't have the internet growing up.
Wow, 10s of thousands of songs! That is so many songs! If you don't mind my asking: what method do you use to capture the songs? Maybe I can clean up some of these to loop better based on my preferences.
I could listen to this all day!
I was walking in a park not to long ago and for some reason this theme came to my head...... it was a good day
No way! The same thing happened to me today!
@@camelliaruthThe overworld theme (nes Ultima 3) always comes in my head when I walk at a park. But, I like this theme better. 😉
dood doo dood doo dad doo!
LOVE THIS TUNE!@@tiffanybatcheller-harris522
This really is the theme music to my childhood. Besides Mario and duckhunt (which came with the system) this was the 1st NES game I ever owned.

It's hard to explain, but this song really reminds me of a certain someone that used to be in my life but no longer is.. Good tune but bittersweet.
Same here, actually. Definitely reminds me of better times.
yes we all lost people since this game came out
im surprised im alive still listening to this!
The thing is that it conveys an optimism in darkness and uncertainty. This is truly a masterpiece.

The music is top tier
Gah love the music in this game! Too bad the game itself was so damn difficult.
torchiest Difficult yes but a real fun quality RPG :)
True, it was extremely hard. It sure made the discoveries very rewarding when you finally found them!
I believe Koji kondo had a hand in writing the music 🎶 👌 no wonder its so good.
ya game is too hard but damn that music
The game is an easy piece of cake as long as you know what to do and what order. Number one tip don't go to the king and game a level until you're ready to finish the game 🙂

You level up.
Lord british says:You still need x amount of xp to level up to the next level.

Thank you so much for uploading this.
Wish i had the manual that dane with the game, i had no clue what to do, and navigate the dungeons. Other then that a classic rpg and music.
This is my new fave chiptune. It’s just so nice! I kinda wish the little part at 1:30 stayed on the same octave rather than dropping.
Great chippy
Nostalgia. Take me to that back to that ancient time.
WREN i remember you!
I miss old school PS sooo much
@@legbert123 greetings 🖖 I’m glad you are still functioning within normal parameters.
Stay chilling on this. I started a metal album on famitracker but just had life happen.
Memories
Best tunes on NES by far
Damn this is good...
It really is. So nostalgic.
I miss playing this game so much!! D: Took forever half the time to get my brother off it so I could play.
man if i could encapsulate nostalgia and puke it out

Takes me back to my childhood...
Where can I get these?! I want so many from my childhood!
KING APPEARS
*throws dagger* MISS!!!
I really like this theme.
Best chip tunes ever

The world may seem beyond salvation, but I am with you brother! Dark times surround us.
I'm also 42... how time flies.

i would love to hear this song on a piano some day.
I have to say: thank you for posting this, but I can't help but point out that the track cuts off a little strangely.
0:14 is the best part. :D
When your mom finally brings food back.
Alright, now that literally made me laugh lol.
Worst part of this game is when the internal memory battery died... grrrrrrrrr
man this music gave me space AIDS and i loved eerry min of it
