I just got into the game (I'm kind of addicted now) this feels more like a tutorial on the game. Do you have one that's more like strategy or something. I'm trying to get the big picture of the game although I kinda know what's what if that makes any sense
Overwhelm and recall effects do still hurt you. Think of it the way mtg describes a similar effect “trample” A creature with trample assigns lethal damage to blocking creature and assigns any remaining damage to the player. If the creature is gone the lethal damage number is ‘0’ after 0 is applied the rest hits the player.
To Paradise, I used to play a lot of Magic the Gathering and if overwhelm works like I read it does. Then when you atk and are blocked if you do more dmg then they have in def/hp the excess does direct dmg to their nexus hp. So while it kinda looks like you atk nothing, your actually hitting the player with the excess dmg
I agree. Since blocking works the same way as in magic where a removed blocker still blocks the attack, I would assume that overwhelm works the same as trample with a removed blocker.
People in comments say overwhelm still does full damage when recall blocked but in my experience strike effects don't proc, like garen leveling for example. Which isn't intuitive imo
Quite easily the most boring card game ive ever played. Past platinum 3 the entire game is just direct damage decks or ephemeral shark/hecarim/commander ledros decks. There has been very little balancing put into the game and as soon as you get below 10 hp its just direct damage to your nexus cards which cost around 3 each and you can have 13 mana a round late game if they havnt already shot you down before then. Plus Decimate cards deals 4 damage or 1/5 an opponent's max hp :/. Oh and the bargin 8 for an 8/6 commander ledros who has an ability that half hps you as soon as hes played, so if you counter spell that then you're done for from the other direct dmg cards and on top of this he goes back to hand when they use a 2 cost card to kill him. Sooo should you save your counter for that and take the 50% damage? which is rounded up so it can kill you on 3 hp aswell but then they just use him again next round and deal another 50%........ urghhhh its soo f**king boring to play this game :/. You only have a max of 3 counterspells in your entire deck of 40, to the 20+ direct dmg cards there is in the game so its ridiculously easy to win around 80% of games its just mind numbingly boring to do so. If you're not going to play these 2 simplistic decks then dont bother with ranked, at the moment its pointless in playing anything else until riot hire a few qa testers for this game to sort out the issues. :(
Yes, if you have overwhelm, you can’t recall block, the entire damage the overwhelm unit would deal is dealt to the defending player
can confirm
the blocking rectangle doesnt even show after recalling the unit if the attacking unit has overwhelm I think
I can't even play the game yet and there's someone telling me how I can improve
Be like batman always be prepared for the next engagement :)
Hahha..same here..i thought i missed it and checking the playstore for it and got dissapointed still not released..
@@MrTreb88 The open beta this week is only for PC. It might be a while before it's available on a mobile platform.

Some of these tips are very basic. "champions are strong" "unit limit is 6"
In responce to the overwelwing doing damage if the follower is removed:
yes it still does the damage as if there was a follower with 0 health there
