@@nancynoname5979 you're so welcome. I'm glad you found it helpful! That knife is great. It's the one I keep on me while camping and it's been incredibly useful.
I just ordered one of these to put on my Dodge Caravan. Thanks for a preview. I think I'm going to mount it on corrugated plastic then attach that to bolts per RV with Tito's channel. No holes and portable. It's bigger than I imagined, too. Thanks!
Thanks! I've been really happy with the CIGS panel so far. That's my Smith n Wesson assisted folding knife. Super cool blade, very useful: amzn.to/49K99Ek
Very very nice. Keep sharing your experiences. You have a natural teaching ability. What type of battery do you have, I.e., wet cell lead acid, agm or lead acid?
Ooohh first comment haha. Just out of curiosity, and before the installation video, is there a need or benefit to taping down the sides of the panel? I’m wondering how much wind will get underneath it and potentially pull up on the adhesive. Not to be critical, just curious. Also hi Winter!
Well, the adhesive strips run right along the edges. It looks like the panel is stuck on there really well. I haven't towed with it applied to the roof yet, but I will be in a few days. I can get back to you if there are any issues on the panel's 1st trip out.
I bought two of these compact units and have them stuck to the rounded front of my Wolf Pup 16BHS in parallel connected to my side jacks. 75mph on I80, no probs.
Question: doesn’t scamp offer a solar panel add on? Is this one better or cheaper than their offering? Not sure if they can install solar panels when you have the fan & air conditioner either…
Scamp only offers suitcase style solar that has to be set up and packed away before and after every use. What Scamp offers is much heavier, more fragile, and can be stolen if left unattended. The CIGS solar panel option is so durable you could hit it with a baseball bat and it'll still function great. It's much more lightweight and it's always contributing to the battery charge when the sun is up even while I'm driving. I prefer the ease of use and knowing it is "always on" charging my battery while I'm out surfing or hiking. Plus won't ever get stolen.
Great video -- thanks for the inspiration. We'll be installing a similar CIGS panel on our Scamp shortly!
Can't wait to see how it goes. I'll be rooting for you!
Thank you so much. Another excellent video. I’m definitely going to order one for my new Scamp. Oh, I love your knife too

Oh I like your idea! Hope it comes out great and works beautifully for ya. Thanks for the positivity ✨️
Another good video, thanks. I am probably going to go with one of those. What ki9nd of knife are you using?

Love it!❤
So glad! Thanks for the positive feedback.

Thanks 😊 I'll do my best to keep the videos coming. My trailer has a lead acid battery... for now.
I would recommend a dc refrigerator. They are far more efficient. BougeRv sells some nice ones, that are very affordable.
I went a lil more hard core. You can see what I chose here: scamperlife.com/2024/01/07/camping-gear-that-elevates-the-experience/
