Top ten in the world to be honest. Bangkok alone is usually #1 most visited city in the world, if not its always in top 3. Its actually unfortunate that other cities in Thailand are as good as Bangkok, if not better, but most people only go to Bangkok.

I was there last week. Impressive place. Yes, a bit too shiny and the ground floor food place somewhat fake. But absolutely clear why it cost that much to built and worth the visit. Local driver advised us against it, "better places to shop in Bangkok" but I'm glad we went anyway. We should not compare street markets and luxe malls. Both have different experiences to offer. And in case you're travelling with kids, this place has insane indoor play center!
I loved seeing the huge variety of food and colorful Thai shops but the high end luxury stores are a bore because they have those everywhere it seems. But I guess they work together to make the whole possible. The people of Bangkok must feel proud to have such a beautiful destination in their city. The western faces in the crowd were plentiful so it is likely a must see stop for tourists in the evening hours.
Iconsiam also has a movie theater :) Been in there a few times to watch movies with my cousins, movie tickets are only around 240 thb which is around 7 usd

Don't bother going there on a Saturday or Sunday from early afternoon to closing. Getting there by car is going to be a long time and I live 4 kilometers from there. Once there you will be dodging people the entire time. When you try to leave and get a ride be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes in the taxi cue or if you your bargaining skills are up to it you can walk out front to the road and get one of the taxi and tuk tuk mafia guys and try to bargain with them. Good luck with that my friend. Other than these negatives it is well worth a visit.
Did you know that going to ICONSIAM? It is very convenient to travel on the boat and there are stops to pick up everywhere. And can travel to the BTS sky train and the MRT underground train all connected throughout Bangkok and no one drives to this mall. And no one is stupid enough to call a taxi. No one is doing it. Bangkokians and tourists all know this. You just don't study by yourself.
the contrast between the sook area with people putting fabric or plastic around their tables, and right at the top Versace, LV, ahah. Give these people wooden tables that are covered all around so they don't have to put these plastics ahahah

This mall will die like River City. There is just not a reason for many people to go to a mall that is mostly luxury brands. The restaurants will go first. All these brands are also in other malls in better locations.
Its not all luxury brands, ive been there alot and they have plenty of other stores with way cheaper stuff as long as you dont go to the tourist stores
You can take the BTS sky train and get-off at Saphan Taksin station. Take the exit from BTS sky train to take the free shuttle boat managed by IconSiam Mall.
It's luxury shopping center mall in the world.. I give 10 of 10 .

I went there few months ago. Architectural design of this Mall is unparrel. All shops are looking colourful and artistic. Overall beauty is unlimited.

Nope. That was the air-con Mine Smart Ferry. 20 baht per person i believe.
They still have shuttle boat free all day to many pier.
