Genshin Impact does this and the amount of anger I feel everytime I wanna login without internet is insane. It’s essentially a single player game. I say essentially because it does have Co-Op but 98% of the time I play it’s by myself.

I hate that there’s no possible way the Suicide Squad could kill the Justice League so they had to weaken them which leads to anticlimactic scenes like “Flash is shot by a Bullet, Batman shot in head, Superman falls to ground”

It’s very anticlimactic that through all of Batman’s Tens of Thousands of adventures that he is killed by a bullet. It’s not like the Suicide Squad unleashed some secret epic power to defeat him. I just think, after all the bs we've seen in comics, the solution to killing a DC super hero should never be "just shoot em". Its fair to assume Batman has some bullet repelling device near him, so the first step should be taking that thing out. Of course, I think Batman should be killed in a melee fight since it'd be more poetic to his character.

The worst part is how they make it clear that this is indeed the same universe as the Arkham series. Basically telling us to our face: "YES, we are sh*tting on the franchise that you love". If this was just a completely different universe like many comics do, we could have at least had the past series untainted.

They should have had John Stewart be a Yellow Lantern at least it would make some sort of sense then. How a Green Lantern with no will can use a ring powered by will is beyond me. This is a game set in the DC universe they should know these things when making a DC game.
I don’t get how rocksteady saw their success of their Batman games, and decided to not only kill him in a dumb way but also all of the other justice league members before they could even have their own games. People keep saying they’re coming back, but even so, it’s pretty dumb for this to be the justice league’s debut in the Arkham universe.
It's because this isn't the same Rocksteady that cared about the Arkham series. This is the new Rocksteady that actually couldn't care less about Batman or the Justice League and just wanted to write bad fan fiction.
100% agreed. That’s my biggest gripe with the game. It’s not that they died, but how and when. This was their first appearance, and they all died boringly and pathetically with no respect what so ever, no dignity. I would have genuinely liked to see them interact with one another before they were turned, see what they were actually like, relationships. Instead we got.. this. They really should resurrect them, or say this was a different just very similar universe in it that it shares the same past events, but this particular event went entirely different in the actual Arkhamverse. Alas, we will simply have to wait and see as to how Rocksteady will respond to the fan outcry over their, lets be honest, poor decision making.
The fact that this story takes place in the Arkhamverse really makes this game so much worse. If it was its own universe entirely, it'd still fall short of Rocksteady's quality in storytelling, but it wouldn't be an insult to their legacy.
It's not even just that. It would've been fine if it were a more dignified death. The big issue is that it was super disrespectful. It was literally just the squad playing catch with him, then sitting him on a bench and executing him after a speech from Harley about how lame he is. And for that matter, the only one that had a decent death was Wonder Woman. Superman's was anticlimactic, Flash's was a joke, and Lantern's was embarrassing (had his corpse laying there with neon green underwear covered in his logo). It just all felt really unnecessarily mean spirited. They all went out with no dignity whatsoever.

I enjoyed the fact that Batman used the fear toxin because it's what he did in Arkam Knight so he could continue being Batman after faking his death But the execution of it was terrible this boss fight had so much potential to be really fucking great

That's what pisses me off the most too. And it's gets worse the more you think about it. Who's the one character that can realistically kill Superman? Wonder Woman. Give her a Kryptonite sword and shield and while it'd be a difficult fight for her, it'd make for an epic battle between 2 of DC's most popular and most powerful heroes. So they set this up, and he somehow breaks the Kryptonite on her shield which is bullcrap, but then she stabs him with Kryptonite. Now this at the VERY LEAST would SEVERELY weaken him until it's pulled out and he heals for days. Or, it should straight up kill him. What happens? He somehow still flies and uses laser vision and amplifies it to be so powerful that it kills Wonder Woman, and then he flies off while it's STILL IN HIM. She even says when she's dying that it should have killed him. Why even have Superman survive here? What's the reason? For a boss fight? Just have them both die here. Superman punches her through the chest and she uses the last of her strength to stab him. It could be super emotional as the mind control wears off because he's dying and he's like "Diana... what's happening?" and he's all scared while she comforts him and says that everything is going to be okay. They could die in each other's arms. It would have been heartbreaking and genuinely amazing. But no. I don't care what "lore reason" there is, it's total bullcrap. They wanted to kill Wonder Woman off which is fine, but there's no reason to have Superman survive and it makes her look like a joke.
Kryptonite isn't lethal to superman, that's what a lot of people don't understand. It weakens him, slowly, it makes him more vulnerable, but that's all, it's not a guarantee, and it's only a minor weakness, especially in modern day. In the majority of iterations, if he's serious, bloodlusted, as he is in this game, he can easily transcend the limitations of kryptonite.

1:14:00 Batman had an unbelievably dissapointing boss fight. I could think up a better one in the time it takes to complete that sequence. One that would still be simple enough for this caliber of game. Concept: Batman uses the fear toxin on Task Force X. It takes place in an Arkham-style stage (floor grates, vantage points, etc.) He then uses his stealth skills and cunning to attack them in a few ways. 1. There are up to three fake Batmans that can appear for each player, corresponding to their teammates. Shooting them damages a teammate. Players can appear as a fake Batman periodically as well as fully hallucinated Batmans. 2. Batman deals direct damage by throwing batarangs, laying mines, and CQC. 3. Batman can throw a smoke grenade(s) that teleports the players to different areas of the map, preventing them from staying back-to-back the entire fight and allowing Batman to threaten them one-on-one. 4. Batman can Stealth Takedown a player every so often. The takedown can be interrupted by allied players, but if it isn't, it downs the player who was grabbed. Thats it. Thats not even that complex. Especially for a $70 game that took so many years to make. That took me all of five minutes to come up with. Oh, and maybe throw some thematic goons in, I guess. Since this _is_ a GaaS looter shooter and all.
I really liked the Flash in the game, he was actually quite funny, imagine a game where you play as the justice league and you get to know all of them and see there personallities and stuff like that, it would be SOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER.
I don't understand all the hate for this game. I've been playing it myself since the early access came online and me and my friend have loved it. The combat is better than it looks and when your not on your own it's so much more fun. The story isn't bad either. I'm so annoyed when everyone constantly shits on the game having not even given it a chance in the first place. When playing it yourself the game iss good. Combat can be boring but it's fun. When with others though it honestly is a very good game. Seriously. I'm at chapter 6 of the 7 and I've loved every moment.
Why would a murderous version of the Flash bother making a silly ineffective tornado when he can just blitz blitz every single member and rip their heart out (or worse)?

I like how creative and respectful the writers are with how they reinvented the characters. They made Waller, a tyrannical leader with humanity best interests at heart, into a whiny b*tch. Superman is now immune to Kryptonite. Green Lantern’s ring doesn’t immediately fly off to find a new user and are just tossed into the sea. Batman is now using guns and killing people ( But didn’t kill the Squad when he had the chance). Also I love how off putting the “heartfelt” tribute to Kevin Conroy was with how they treated his character, turning him into a joke. Imagine making fun of a character that carried your entire company for almost 20 years. If Rocksteady goes bankrupt after this, I hope they realize they deserve it

At this point they should’ve mentioned that JL were zombified corpses controlled by Brainiac. Because there is no possibility that Batman had no plan to save himself and Superman being passive towards his comrades dying, or not flinching during Diana fight.

@@crackerlover9090 eh, true but he can at least choose his roles plus it's not as if a Voice actors can't read them before voicing them over. There are several examples of actors quitting after reading the script and story of something. I think the most famous we can think of is chef from south park. Idk, feels like the VAs are just there for the job sometimes. And I can't blame them, most roles don't pay well unless you're a big name like him or Hamill. Or the project itself is big. I still respect Kevin Conroy to death, but we can see people like Mark Hamill in his jacketed animosity of the way they took Luke in the Star wars Disney trilogy; that hate of both his role and the story at large when his NDA finally cleared too. I think these actors should take more pride in their work. Still, rest in peace Kevin Conroy, this didn't need to be a role he ever played in.
I like how the cutscene of the Flash killing Shark was so much more characterful than the death scene for every Justice League member. It wasn't just a ragdoll fall.
I will say the imagery of the bloodied and beaten batman facing down the barrel without an ounce of fear goes hard. In a vacuum it looks cool. Then you have like, everything else about it
Imagine that picture you described just after a difficult and cool boss fight with a worthy person aiming the gun at him and a speech that shows respect to the Arkham series, then you've got an amazing scene. It's just a shame we got the complete opposite.

I love that during the superman vs Wonderwoman cutscene, it's just 10 minutes of the suicide squad standing around watching when there are sharp pieces of Kryptonite XD What a dumb game.
It’s the fact tht she gives Batman a moral speech, like we haven’t been these villains to stop them from committing more crimes, Harley in particular. You can hear a faint laugh in the background like the joker teeth in Asylum, but with Harley’s laugh instead. It feels more of an insult when you hear it

batman would NEVER EVER leave a message for the news with his real identity and imply that the symbol of BATMAN is gone! his plan A is to pass on the cape and cowl in a seamless transition so that it appears as if he survived!
Was hoping the characters would have story, and the protagonists defeat justice league members in unique ways. But no. It's just different colored bullets. No hand to hand fights. No bat family trying to defend Bruce. No kid flash helping out or being a side villain. They had an entire universe of lore to do absolutely anything with, and they chose to make a knockoff Destiny. It doesn't even make sense for some of them to rely on guns. These characters have fighting styles and abilities that never get used. It's literally just the devs using an established IP to sell a looter shooter. Can Deadshot even use his bullet ricochet ability in this game? Ya know, one of the central points of his entire character? They showed off the trailers in a way that played off of fans' expectations and anticipation. Superman slowly vaporizing that soldier. Flash catching bullets. Batman doing predator takedowns. But the gameplay is running in circles and holding down a trigger, avoiding area of effect attacks, until the next one-liner filled cutscene plays. Arkham trilogy it is not.
What baffles me about Batman's death is that his cowl is literally bullet proof/resistant. It has to be for him to survive like he does. "But it's point blank range!" Yes, which is something you do not want when it comes to trying to deal with someone who is trained in CQC. So many better ways to kill him.
I heard the audio of Batman dying. Even my imagination gave a more respectful scene of his death than to see him lugged about and propped up and to die on a park bench

To be honest, despite the title of the game, I'm not sure what Rocksteady was expecting would happen in terms of backlash when it comes to Batman's death. Even if the team thought the characters you play as would be very popular and liked, this is one of the most beloved characters in fiction who's part of the same continuity of several highly received games. The way his death is framed would be unsatisfying to many, and a surprisingly crude way to killing off a main character. It reminds me of how Johnny was killed by Trevor in GTA 5. That example actually feels frustrating in a similar manner to this game.

This is made all the stupider when you think about it. Tieing it into the Arkhamverse means that, via the Knightfall protocol, Bruce (and therefore Batman) are presumed dead. So you can dodge the issue of killing Batman by just... leaving him "dead" in canon. Or, ya know, do the smart thing. Bat helps the Suicide Squad, and manages to help save all the members of the JL, not kill them. I mean shit, how cool would it be if you're playing this game, and then you get contacted by the Arkham Knight, who starts helping you... and then much later, it's revealed that said Knight is now Bruce, using it as a cover for his cheating death. Like... WB is so braindead. And you know it's not really Rocksteady, given a bunch of staff left to do their own thing.
She was the only one that wasn't turned evil. Not that it justifies anything, just that it's likely the reason they treated hers as a tragedy and just had the others go out in humiliating fashion (Flash, Lantern, Batman) or in a completely anticlimactic manner (Superman).
Even worse, if the rumors that the League will be brought back in some form are true, then the only Justice League member who actually died is...Wonder Woman.

The absolute worst thing about this game is that its set in the Arkham Universe. It was most likely a decision to push units from Arkham Fans, but all it’s pushing is our hatred and disappointment. I hope they make like all comics do eventually and retcon this somehow.

This is Warner Brothers fault. Devs want to make good games, publishers only care for the money. WB set the deadlines, the monetization, etc. If you don't give enough time to the devs these are the things that will happen.

@@spencermadisonmy issue with it is more that it's supposed to be the Arkham Batman we've gotten to know for 4 games previously. His death, for the journey this specific Batman has had, is incredibly unceremonious.
It would've been so easy to make this a legitimately interesting, possibly good game. Firstly, just don't make it in the Arkhamverse, which deals with a lot of character issues people have. And secondly, just make it a single-player Guardians-like game. Each-character getting moments to shine, side missions, more intimate character progression. Shark could've stayed as a Green Lantern if this was singleplayer, with all new abilities and attacks, giving every Squad character a mission dedicated to Batman's fear toxin and its influence etc. But live-service greed ruins a possibility for a neat, decent game. I mean there's some solid stuff here, Boomerang is actually somewhat charming, Shark is great, and Conroy's evil Batman performance is pretty intimidating. There's a truly solid singleplayer experience here, just swallowed by generic gameplay that's supposed to milk all the money it can.
Wonder Woman's fight with Superman has to be the dumbest thing I've ever seen. A tiny bit of kryptonite is enough to bring Superman to his knees. To make him vulnerable to basic weapons and attacks. HE LITERALLY PUNCHES IT. He turns it into dust and powder right in his own face. That should have DESTROYED him. Then he gets STABBED in the HEART by a piece, and it doesn't do anything?! It inly hurts him?! Actual scarlet brain rot writing. This game's writing is so terrible that it actually frustrates me. Anyone could write a better version of this story. Anyone. Yes, YOU reading this could do better.
If anyone's wondering why this game came out like it was, is to keep the ESG score up. Search up Sweet Baby Inc. They worked on the story. And most of the people that worked on the Arkham games left before this game was even a thing. So it was the publisher's, and the story writing company's fault. The passion is gone in video games.
There's a balance to making Harley just annoying enough to be a believable villain, but just enough _not_ annoying where you think she has a chance to be redeemed. This does not strike it.

Why is this happening? Why are we living in a time where for some reason people that hate the fanbases of the things they are working on are working on are somehow working on them? You've got the Halo tv show, Resident evil netflix, Modern marvel, DC, Star Wars, Rings of power, and many other once beloved and beautiful series that were enjoyable escapes from reality are all being smeared in shit.
This seems like the type of game you should get in like 5 years when its cheaper and has more stuff to do. Also in cutscenes with the flash he has all 5 fingers on both hands even though captain boomerang cut a finger off.

The biggest complaint coming from someone who hasn’t played the game is that the UI feels very busy. There’s way too much going on with all the particle effects, tutorials, meters, and tons of crap. Really hard to tell what’s going on, can’t imagine how hard it is to see while playing

If this was just a completely different universe like many comics do, we could have at least had the past series untainted.

They should have had John Stewart be a Yellow Lantern at least it would make some sort of sense then. How a Green Lantern with no will can use a ring powered by will is beyond me. This is a game set in the DC universe they should know these things when making a DC game.
I don’t get how rocksteady saw their success of their Batman games, and decided to not only kill him in a dumb way but also all of the other justice league members before they could even have their own games.
People keep saying they’re coming back, but even so, it’s pretty dumb for this to be the justice league’s debut in the Arkham universe.

100% agreed. That’s my biggest gripe with the game. It’s not that they died, but how and when. This was their first appearance, and they all died boringly and pathetically with no respect what so ever, no dignity. I would have genuinely liked to see them interact with one another before they were turned, see what they were actually like, relationships. Instead we got.. this. They really should resurrect them, or say this was a different just very similar universe in it that it shares the same past events, but this particular event went entirely different in the actual Arkhamverse. Alas, we will simply have to wait and see as to how Rocksteady will respond to the fan outcry over their, lets be honest, poor decision making.

The big issue is that it was super disrespectful. It was literally just the squad playing catch with him, then sitting him on a bench and executing him after a speech from Harley about how lame he is.
And for that matter, the only one that had a decent death was Wonder Woman. Superman's was anticlimactic, Flash's was a joke, and Lantern's was embarrassing (had his corpse laying there with neon green underwear covered in his logo).

You guys are talking about Arkham Batman, yet I’m stuck on the sheer absurdity that Superman doesn’t die on contact having a giant piece of kryptonite pierce his sternum
That's what pisses me off the most too. And it's gets worse the more you think about it.
Who's the one character that can realistically kill Superman? Wonder Woman. Give her a Kryptonite sword and shield and while it'd be a difficult fight for her, it'd make for an epic battle between 2 of DC's most popular and most powerful heroes.
So they set this up, and he somehow breaks the Kryptonite on her shield which is bullcrap, but then she stabs him with Kryptonite. Now this at the VERY LEAST would SEVERELY weaken him until it's pulled out and he heals for days. Or, it should straight up kill him.
What happens? He somehow still flies and uses laser vision and amplifies it to be so powerful that it kills Wonder Woman, and then he flies off while it's STILL IN HIM. She even says when she's dying that it should have killed him.
Why even have Superman survive here? What's the reason? For a boss fight? Just have them both die here. Superman punches her through the chest and she uses the last of her strength to stab him. It could be super emotional as the mind control wears off because he's dying and he's like "Diana... what's happening?" and he's all scared while she comforts him and says that everything is going to be okay. They could die in each other's arms. It would have been heartbreaking and genuinely amazing. But no.
I don't care what "lore reason" there is, it's total bullcrap. They wanted to kill Wonder Woman off which is fine, but there's no reason to have Superman survive and it makes her look like a joke.
Kryptonite isn't lethal to superman, that's what a lot of people don't understand. It weakens him, slowly, it makes him more vulnerable, but that's all, it's not a guarantee, and it's only a minor weakness, especially in modern day. In the majority of iterations, if he's serious, bloodlusted, as he is in this game, he can easily transcend the limitations of kryptonite.

1:14:00 Batman had an unbelievably dissapointing boss fight. I could think up a better one in the time it takes to complete that sequence. One that would still be simple enough for this caliber of game.
Concept: Batman uses the fear toxin on Task Force X. It takes place in an Arkham-style stage (floor grates, vantage points, etc.) He then uses his stealth skills and cunning to attack them in a few ways.
1. There are up to three fake Batmans that can appear for each player, corresponding to their teammates. Shooting them damages a teammate. Players can appear as a fake Batman periodically as well as fully hallucinated Batmans.
2. Batman deals direct damage by throwing batarangs, laying mines, and CQC.
3. Batman can throw a smoke grenade(s) that teleports the players to different areas of the map, preventing them from staying back-to-back the entire fight and allowing Batman to threaten them one-on-one.
4. Batman can Stealth Takedown a player every so often. The takedown can be interrupted by allied players, but if it isn't, it downs the player who was grabbed.
Thats it. Thats not even that complex. Especially for a $70 game that took so many years to make. That took me all of five minutes to come up with. Oh, and maybe throw some thematic goons in, I guess. Since this _is_ a GaaS looter shooter and all.

I don't understand all the hate for this game. I've been playing it myself since the early access came online and me and my friend have loved it. The combat is better than it looks and when your not on your own it's so much more fun. The story isn't bad either. I'm so annoyed when everyone constantly shits on the game having not even given it a chance in the first place. When playing it yourself the game iss good. Combat can be boring but it's fun. When with others though it honestly is a very good game. Seriously. I'm at chapter 6 of the 7 and I've loved every moment.
Highlights of the game: you can literally swim through the air as a shark man.
The downside: you eventually have to land and play the game.

There are several examples of actors quitting after reading the script and story of something. I think the most famous we can think of is chef from south park. Idk, feels like the VAs are just there for the job sometimes. And I can't blame them, most roles don't pay well unless you're a big name like him or Hamill. Or the project itself is big. I still respect Kevin Conroy to death, but we can see people like Mark Hamill in his jacketed animosity of the way they took Luke in the Star wars Disney trilogy; that hate of both his role and the story at large when his NDA finally cleared too. I think these actors should take more pride in their work.
Still, rest in peace Kevin Conroy, this didn't need to be a role he ever played in.
I like how the cutscene of the Flash killing Shark was so much more characterful than the death scene for every Justice League member. It wasn't just a ragdoll fall.
I will say the imagery of the bloodied and beaten batman facing down the barrel without an ounce of fear goes hard. In a vacuum it looks cool. Then you have like, everything else about it
Imagine that picture you described just after a difficult and cool boss fight with a worthy person aiming the gun at him and a speech that shows respect to the Arkham series, then you've got an amazing scene. It's just a shame we got the complete opposite.

It's not good but it's better than what we expected
Was hoping the characters would have story, and the protagonists defeat justice league members in unique ways. But no. It's just different colored bullets. No hand to hand fights. No bat family trying to defend Bruce. No kid flash helping out or being a side villain. They had an entire universe of lore to do absolutely anything with, and they chose to make a knockoff Destiny. It doesn't even make sense for some of them to rely on guns. These characters have fighting styles and abilities that never get used. It's literally just the devs using an established IP to sell a looter shooter. Can Deadshot even use his bullet ricochet ability in this game? Ya know, one of the central points of his entire character?
They showed off the trailers in a way that played off of fans' expectations and anticipation. Superman slowly vaporizing that soldier. Flash catching bullets. Batman doing predator takedowns. But the gameplay is running in circles and holding down a trigger, avoiding area of effect attacks, until the next one-liner filled cutscene plays. Arkham trilogy it is not.

What baffles me about Batman's death is that his cowl is literally bullet proof/resistant. It has to be for him to survive like he does. "But it's point blank range!" Yes, which is something you do not want when it comes to trying to deal with someone who is trained in CQC. So many better ways to kill him.

To be honest, despite the title of the game, I'm not sure what Rocksteady was expecting would happen in terms of backlash when it comes to Batman's death.
Even if the team thought the characters you play as would be very popular and liked, this is one of the most beloved characters in fiction who's part of the same continuity of several highly received games.
The way his death is framed would be unsatisfying to many, and a surprisingly crude way to killing off a main character. It reminds me of how Johnny was killed by Trevor in GTA 5. That example actually feels frustrating in a similar manner to this game.

This is made all the stupider when you think about it. Tieing it into the Arkhamverse means that, via the Knightfall protocol, Bruce (and therefore Batman) are presumed dead. So you can dodge the issue of killing Batman by just... leaving him "dead" in canon. Or, ya know, do the smart thing. Bat helps the Suicide Squad, and manages to help save all the members of the JL, not kill them. I mean shit, how cool would it be if you're playing this game, and then you get contacted by the Arkham Knight, who starts helping you... and then much later, it's revealed that said Knight is now Bruce, using it as a cover for his cheating death.
Like... WB is so braindead. And you know it's not really Rocksteady, given a bunch of staff left to do their own thing.
Tell me why only Wonder woman gets an honorable death and is the only one sent off with a proper somber score?

Not that it justifies anything, just that it's likely the reason they treated hers as a tragedy and just had the others go out in humiliating fashion (Flash, Lantern, Batman) or in a completely anticlimactic manner (Superman).

The absolute worst thing about this game is that its set in the Arkham Universe. It was most likely a decision to push units from Arkham Fans, but all it’s pushing is our hatred and disappointment. I hope they make like all comics do eventually and retcon this somehow.

This is Warner Brothers fault. Devs want to make good games, publishers only care for the money. WB set the deadlines, the monetization, etc. If you don't give enough time to the devs these are the things that will happen.

It would've been so easy to make this a legitimately interesting, possibly good game.
Firstly, just don't make it in the Arkhamverse, which deals with a lot of character issues people have. And secondly, just make it a single-player Guardians-like game. Each-character getting moments to shine, side missions, more intimate character progression.
Shark could've stayed as a Green Lantern if this was singleplayer, with all new abilities and attacks, giving every Squad character a mission dedicated to Batman's fear toxin and its influence etc.
But live-service greed ruins a possibility for a neat, decent game.
I mean there's some solid stuff here, Boomerang is actually somewhat charming, Shark is great, and Conroy's evil Batman performance is pretty intimidating. There's a truly solid singleplayer experience here, just swallowed by generic gameplay that's supposed to milk all the money it can.
Wonder Woman's fight with Superman has to be the dumbest thing I've ever seen. A tiny bit of kryptonite is enough to bring Superman to his knees. To make him vulnerable to basic weapons and attacks.
HE LITERALLY PUNCHES IT. He turns it into dust and powder right in his own face. That should have DESTROYED him.
Then he gets STABBED in the HEART by a piece, and it doesn't do anything?! It inly hurts him?! Actual scarlet brain rot writing.

If anyone's wondering why this game came out like it was, is to keep the ESG score up. Search up Sweet Baby Inc. They worked on the story. And most of the people that worked on the Arkham games left before this game was even a thing. So it was the publisher's, and the story writing company's fault. The passion is gone in video games.

Why is this happening? Why are we living in a time where for some reason people that hate the fanbases of the things they are working on are working on are somehow working on them? You've got the Halo tv show, Resident evil netflix, Modern marvel, DC, Star Wars, Rings of power, and many other once beloved and beautiful series that were enjoyable escapes from reality are all being smeared in shit.

The biggest complaint coming from someone who hasn’t played the game is that the UI feels very busy. There’s way too much going on with all the particle effects, tutorials, meters, and tons of crap.
