Thanks for the tutorial!! Just one thing, for the schrabiduim fuel, you have to set it to 35 and then to get the most out of it I had to wait for it to stabilize then go up by 1 wait for it to stabilize and go up 1. All the way to 40. Past 40 (even by 1) = kaboom
Yeah that is why I made the schrabidium depleting pwr design in my last week's video, rbmk required quite alot of manual oversight. Pwr on the other hand is safe once you've set the control rods to the appropriate level. I find that much more convenient.

Those blocks are from Techguns mod but the good thing is now there are Hazard concrete blocks (and many other types) in NTM which can be used to decorate nuclear bases !!

I am working on a nuclear power plant build but it is not based on RBMK cause it cannot be automated. It will use the new bedrock uranium ore and big nuclear reactors

The fuel I was using was also HES so it's skin temp went upto 2500 degrees celsius but the column temperature was limited to like 700 ... idk why cause the same reactor in 1.7.10 runs very hot
i straight up just replaced my first rbmk reactor's fuel rod which had 4 reflectors on all 4 sides and no control rods with an hes and it exploded fortunetly i make sure to do it in a clone of the world ( i always do this before i try to adjust any of my reactors/power them on)
Lmao you simply don't do that to a dangerous fuel rod type , and yes making copies of the RBMK world is also something that I do as well cause it helps alot to avoid rebuilding the whole thing incase it explodes with a specific configuration
I know there's nothing to do with this video, but after playing a lot with this mod, it was only today that I realized that LEAus and HEAus fuels are not radioactive, and you can even easily hold them in your hand, even when depleted, as they don't take on any radiation. , at least in the Extended Edition version it is like this, it is one of the best fuels for energy production, but it is bad as a neutron source, as a neutron source the best is Unobitainium, which I don't think is available in 1.7.10, I think which is only in the Extended Edition 1.12.2, which is the fork of the mod that I play the most, I made an Irradiation Reactor that makes plutonium-241 instantly, Unobitanium is very strong as a neutron source, I use it in the reactors also to spend the fuel quickly, and also to serve as a permanent neutron source, so I can use the reactor at low power and generating a lot of energy, but it's that thing, if you raise the control rods too much, the reactor explodes.

I don't really understand what you mean by the "gui thingy" so the qol mods I am using are : NotEnoughItems, WAILA, WAWLA, Inventory Tweaks and Real Bench.

The only way that I can think of to do that is to attach one of the pipes to sticky piston and then controlling the sticky piston to move the pipe in and out of the entire line
No I don't think so, both will be equally efficient in terms of cooling and I think this design will give our more power (tho I am not absolutely sure about that cause I haven't tried this iteration with heat exchangers)

Cause that setup is extremely simple, all you need is 4 turbines each set to ultra dense, super dense , dense and normal steam respectively... And finally a cooling tower connected to the last turbine. I've covered this process multiple times in my previous videos as well

When these reactors were introduced trial and error was the only way I had cause I didn't really understand their working. Now that I've made several designs and many of them didn't go boom I've an idea ... Or intuition that a design will not explode and then yes to test that out once again trial and error

For example a breeding reactor can be made much differently than a depleting reactor or a power generating reactor. The main thing is studying FUEL TYPES , with most medium type ones generally every reactor design should work , but with dangerous fuel types like HES which I used in this design it's important to control it using safe fuel rod types and control rods ... And in some extreme cases even coolers
That reactor was way too big, my system will just start lagging if I build an RBMK that size. I can try for the Chernobyl building... However it'll take time to make

Idk man the mod works perfectly for me. As for the height of the RBMK reactor ... the default is 4 but you can change that using the gamerule "dialColumnHeight 2"
btw whats the version of the mod and how did you also got that fluid pipes like they are circle, and for me is a small blocks pipes and why the steam connecters dont connect to water pipes?

I was actually making one in conjunction with this build this one was with normal control rods, other one with automatic and third one reasim however the autocontrol rod one took much time to optimize and still I didn't get desired results so I never got to the REASIM one
Maybe you have missed connecting the pipes somewhere cause as long as this whole system is a closed loop water won't "disappear" and the cooling tower is more than enough to keep up with the speed to continue converting all the low pressure steam into water So double check all your pipes
Yes ofc this is a modular reactor so it can be as big as you can make it and your device can handle just make sure the fuel rods are within distance. Also you can make the reactor taller using the gamerule of dialColumnHeight I generally don't go bigger than this is cause I'm a fan of smaller compact reactors rather than big ones and another thing is my laptop can't handle bigger reactors. There's visible fps drop and lag when I start recording

Note: i try this design and ye it outdated design, i recommend yellow and green control control rod should 70 level and red is just 15-20 is enough and ye cover the reactor for avoid nuclear smoke

should i connect ultra dense steam fluid duct from inner to outer in the bottom of the reactor
The steam duct can be either connected from the bottom of the steam connector or from the top of the steam channel

That is a visual problem in the NTM Reloaded version. You can use NTM Extended to fix that problem

Note: i try this design and ye it outdated design, i recommend yellow and green control control rod should 70 level and red is just 15-20 is enough and ye cover the reactor for avoid nuclear smoke

this blew up my base, fine ill clean it up but the radiation, fire and debris are really messing up my game and its hard to even play, ive worked on this for a long time so i was wondering if there was any way to use a command or something to just get rid of the radiation and fire
