Balls College… 😂🤣😂 It seems Robert did his homework! Hahahaha… Turned the table on Dave! Awesome!
That was smooth.
Dave just couldn't embarrass Robert. Couldn't even make him uncomfortable.
That's something.
Bob made Dave uncomfortable and it was hilarious
@wildwoodandonyx he's always a hilarious interview. Very witty and sharp.
Robert Plant has absolutely bulletproof confidence.
Plant is the best
Closest he came is when Robert brought up Rod Stewart.
Such a charismatic lad
When Robert brought a lemon out--
I thought he was gonna do the "Lemon Song"....
Yeah me too!
Til the juice runs down my leg...
@@GVernon, he was talking about making love --- lemon and honey! Very clear!
Great archival footage of Plant. Robert kept composed while under such scrutiny. Great singer.
Balls College = Hilarious "Zing" - he gotcha Dave !!!
2:46 Bobby sure has the "balls". 😂😂😂
My uncle saw LED ZEPPELIN at the Atlanta pop festival when they were still called: The New Yardbirds! He knew Jimmy Page but was unprepared for the vocals of Robert Plant and the rhythm section of Bonham and Jones!
Phew....still with us
We all get a little nervous Thankful he is doing well and fine.
Dude.... i was like oh, no, oh no
1st thing I thought when seeing this notification “Oh please no!”
Exactly! These recent clips are how I found out about Dr. Ruth, Donald Sutherland, John Mayall, and Richard Simmons…😢 don’t scare me like that Dave!
IKR 😳
Honeydrip is specifically defined in black dog from Zeppelin 4
robert's a man of great personal charm - and, i always stay at the Berkshire
Led Zeppelin would play LiveAid 85 that summer in Philadelphia.
With Phil Collins on drums. They actually sucked, mostly.
@@BFSilenceDogoodYeah, that performance has not been, shall we say, praised in the slightest.
@@BFSilenceDogood I was there in Philly, and I wouldn't trade that experience for anything, warts and all.
@@BFSilenceDogood After Phil flew on British Airways on the Concord from Wembley.
I can't believe the audience didn't get his joke about squeeszing the lemon!
How fitting the advert for the hotel at the end. Maybe Dave was wondering if he would be responsible for any damages to Roberts accommodations?
Adorable 🥰
Paul Schafer looks like some bit part actor in Miami Vice
Some interviews are a tad awkward. But interesting never the less. Thanks Dave!
I'm willing to bet that Robert and Paul would be a lot of trouble on tour.
Nah... they were 4 choir boys just going on a school trip...🤣
It’s funny how they used to announce what hotel the guests were staying at. I don’t think they would do that nowadays.
Hilarious! Thank you🌸🌻
Still a good interview in his dotage. But man, it would have been fun to have 25 years of my life looking like Robert Plant. He had some bad times - I can't imagine losing a kid - but I'm sure he had some good times, too.
Good times, bad times, you know I've had my share....
Great interview. ☮️💙
Sorry Dave, Plant is not your typical bone-head rockstar who you can demean and make light of with cheap jokes....Plant a little too "above your head".
Yes!
Great tour (Oakland CA '85) 💜
We saw them in Oakland too!
@@joetanaka6446 I saw Led Zeppelin in Oakland July 1977, That show I was at was their last North American Concert.
Charming man
❤❤❤Robert❤❤❤
This is gold Jerry.
Percy and Fufkin. Legends.
I got to see Robert plant in 1988.
"Now and Zen" Tour. One of Robert's best!!😊
@@paulwhittler8268The previous night was Jimmy's show. Robert plant was at the show and he came up on the stage towards the end of the show. They did not perform anything together. then Robert plant walk to the back of the stage and Jimmy started playing stairway to heaven. The singer walked off the stage the crowd is the one who sang the song. with Robert plant standing at the back of the stage just watching.
Saw him on Manic Nirvana Tour. 90 I believe
Hammer of the Gods and The Totonto Thor.... our overlords.
Wish we could've seen Cheryl Ladd 😍
He’s okay❤
Balls College😂😂😂😂😂
Some of the stories about the groupies are pretty fishy
Jimmy page openly dated a 14 year old, your suspicions are well founded
Haha I see what you did there
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🐟
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Joe Walsh, was the ultimate room trasher
That would be Keith Moon
COOL!
bob has the same hair as in 66!..same frou-frou looks and rolled bangs up front!
I DON'T THINK ROBERT EVER TRASHED A HOTEL, BUT KEITH MOON CERTAINLY DID.
John Bohnam certainly did also after finding out Karen Carpenter was voted #1 drummer in 1975 Playboy Poll. Plant was not the type for trashing hotel rooms.
Yeah John Bonham destroyed hotel rooms, it's a drummer thing
Well...Robert did say, that was done after his bed time. A good lad, indeed😉
That one guy, Paul, looks and sounds just like Artie Fufkin
At first, I thought Morty wanted to shake hands with a legend, but what he actually had in mind was keeping a lemon touched by a legend for himself! What happened to that lemon Morty?
🍋He wanted to squeeze that lemon till the juice ran down his leg.🍋
@@marktatum2592Beat me to it!! 🤣
Now, every time I see someone featured on the Dave channel, I think they’ve died 😮
Dave could'nt be bothered holding the album correctly, what an ass.
yes finally been waiting for this clip since my original bookmarked one got a copyright takedown... "balls college" is so damn funny
Robert Plant with a mullet.
That's not a mullet. It's too long in front. The ears are cut out, that's all
I mean, it's not pro wrestling, Joe Dirt, achy breaky, but it's in the mullet realm😂
Mullet
It does pass the mullet test
Cool as a cucumber❤❤❤
Back when late night tv was awesome!
This interview was awful. Sorry, but just awful
I know it's morbid and I'm not proud of it, but when I saw that this was uploaded I had to check if Robert Plant had died. He hasn't yet.
I had tears in my ears. FXXXXCK.
My people
The 80’s style
Alive.
If I were Letterman I would have been totally starstruck by or at least enthusiastic about Plant being there. It's almost as if Letterman didn't even know who Plant was.
Trust me, he was starstruck. He has expressed his love for Zeppelin.
Well it could be the same 😂❤
He looks pretty good today for looking this rough at not-even-40.
Yeah, 36 here. He seemingly aged 20 years between 1973-1979. Went through a lot in life and it showed
Funny how ppl take Dave so seriously here.😅😂
Love the letterman days....yea....Dave's probably seen a lot....why should he freak out here?
Nobody ate too much in the early days cuz…there wasn’t much appetite……🤔
Whenever Dave interviewed a musical guest it was obvious he has no interest in music.
Not true. He interviewed REM on their very first television appearance and for a band that had absolutely nothing but a few reviews of a debut album at that point, he seemed genuinely interested in what they were all about and it became one of their most iconic public performances.
Doesn't look like Robert i know it is but its weird
all the great rock gods looked extremely foolish in the early 80s. they were dictated by the powers of mtv
People have said LZ was a great rip off glamorized cover band.
Opinions vary
That's what most great British musicians from the '60s used to say. Keith Richards still says their music was too "noisy and I agree.
robert has never had lips??
The egos between Paul, Dave, and Robert 🤮
Big Led Zeppelin fan, though.
RIP
Don't you even joke about Percy
he’s very much alive
Very much alive’n
