This is more important than people think. You should really cup it tight for the low notes and let it more open for the highs. and if you're using a cleaner mic like a sm57 you're gonna want the element way down in the cup so you can overdrive the element. Great stuff Adam !
If I were to make an educated guess I would assume that you may benefit from a more "air right" cup around and Try adjusting the the volume. Also it would be beneficial to check your trills at a slower speed to see if it's still calls the same sound effect. If all else fails feel free to reach out through social media with a video showing the issue at hand.

I just picked up a new bone daddy mic and seem to have a lot of unwanted noise when doing a trill. Any ideas to help?
