When the essence of joy meets such virtuosic brilliance, discipline, imagination, insane rhythmic ability and jaw-dropping arranging, this is the result. A piece of ensemble playing to rival anything I've ever heard - just brilliant!
DESPERADOES SPEED AND POWER COME FROM AN ATHLETIC BACK GROUND, "Most of us that grew up in LAVENTILE were footballers and cricketers then basketball came in the early 1970s after the black power movement 😎☻💪🎶🎶🎼🏐🏏A proud heritage.
Arrangement is largely by Beverly Griffith, with some touches by Bradley and Greenidge. A beautiful piece of work by the masters and cleanly executed at that tempo by the only band that can do that sort of thing properly at such speed...The masterful Desperadoes.
Best Despers arrangement ever! Perfectly compliments the classic by Jit Samaroo and Renegades. Listen to that crowd chanting before the count!!! Panorama is not like this anymore
The crowd was actually chanting "Phase 2 Phase 2' though..I was in the north stand that night. The chant only stopped after Curry Tabanca flattened the place..but that is another story of panorama folklore...
There are some moments in this tune that are harmonically crazy. I agree that two of those moments are 7:44 and 8:46. They are amazing pieces of music. Another of these moments starts at 8:53.
Do y'all hear that jam starting from 8:26 onward??? Man...this is probably why they tied w/ Renegades rendition of de same tune, bcuz it SWEET FOR SOOOOO
the only band that sound like Mitch record itself if u bring big musicians to judge this event call panorama despers will have to be guest artist this orchestra is not earthly its a heavenly dimension
This song was arranged by BEVERLY GRIFFITH AND ROBERT GREENIDGE, CLIVE BRADLEY didn't arranged for Desperadoes in 1987 the person who made the flag made a mistake.
You are sooooo right, that year Bradley arranged for pandemonium with a tune by scrunter called sing in she party, that’s true. BTW I loved beverly griffith and greenidge together, they were brilliant, pan night and day, A minor and panama, all master pieces.
stoping me fom sleeping at night, have a chip in my body, doing me that, all my head vibrating, my teeth vibrating mesuing up my memory and my vision also
There are harmonic passages in this offering that are unrivalled. And I say this without fear of contradiction. I am one who don't talk winners and losers. Jit Samaroo was one of the greats. And I have the greatest respect and admiration for his work. His work didplays his in depth knowledge of music. His passages are well constructed and musical and leave me in awe of his mastery.

Dignified in truth.

Thanks for the memories Beverly and Bradley together ❤

1987 Panorama
Oh men the sweetest music ever love my pan music!
I could stick my neck out and tell you which parts of this arrangement belongs to Clive Bradley. Its coming down to the end. Its harmonically crazy.
That was just amazing
Goodness! This orchestra could play oui and I prefer solo pan so when I say this good. It rel good.

I stand corrected. I was thinking of "Guitar Pan". I bow to your knowledge... ;-)

COLLABORATION reallygreat BEV ROBBIE BRADOS
One of tightest arrangements and executions i ever heard.
panorama is definitely not where it shud be by now!!
Does anyone has Pan in Harmony panorama finals by DESPERS.
Pan in harmony finial night performance an eternal classic , only the folks will remember.
No one does. That is unacceptable. It's bordering on the sacrilegious.
Ask the ignorant people who staged the the coup in 1990 when they destroyed the Archives TTT and the Radio stations.
The lick starting at 7:44 HAS to be Robbie. Just sounds too much like him to not be.
@psychologistpannist Who won Panorama that year and is the performance on UA-cam? Because Curry Tabanca is a masterpiece.
havea chip in my body harrasing me everyday
i go to talk to lawyers, police telling lawyers dont help me,
have a chip in my body harrasing me everyday, put a chip in my body with out my consent,

Your opinion as others definitely thought it rivaled Jit...that's why they were TIED

No comparison to renegades
