- This bacon wrapped deer appetizer is sure to impress! Delicious, bite sized pieces of venison, marinate and wrapped with delight; is sure to make your guests say, "This is deer meat?!"
Enjoy this recipe and have fun putting your own spin on it to make it your own!
Cut up
• 1.5 - 2 pounds venison (I used a round roast)
Into 1 inch cubes
Combine
• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
• 1/4 tsp onion powder
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp Sriracha
• ½ tsp black pepper
Stir with meat and put in the fridge to marinade for 1 hour or overnight
Drain juices and pat meat dry with a paper towel then wrap with 1/3-1/2 slice of
• 1 500g pkg bacon
And secure with a tooth pick.
Place on a wire rack on a foil coated baking sheet.
Cook in a preheated, 450° oven for 10-12 minutes.
Broil until bacon begins to get crispy, about 2 minutes.
Remove and baste with
• ¼ cup barbecue sauce (I used Guinness Bulls Eye)
Put back in for another minute or 2.
Remove and flip each piece to broil the underside. 1-2 minutes
Once beautiful and crispy, plate it and let it sit for 5 minutes then enjoy!

Genius!
Thanks!
Since venison was really the main course at the first Thanksgiving I’ve been looking for a way to include it without adding another large dish to an already full table this year. I’m going to use your recipe (I may add a small piece of jalapeno to some). Thanks.
Love it! That sounds great! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Looks good. Does it still taste like bacon wrapped venison after do all that to it? For wild game, and good beef, I only salt n pepper then cook it on mesquite. Its the wood that makes it good! ;)
Oh it was so good!!!
Smoking them would be awesome too! Maybe one day I'll attempt to smoke something again...😉
But ultimately, what isn't good wrapped in bacon?!
What temp? Thinking I will make for superbowl
Awesome! 450°
