Grandi serate di musica al Rootsway Roots 'n' Blues Food Festival 2012.....
Luke Winslow-King (nato il 12 marzo, 1983) è un chitarrista, cantante, compositore e paroliere conosciuto per la sua abilità alla slide guitar,con forte interesse per il blues pre-bellico e il jazz tradizionale con suoni composti da un mix eclettico, comprendente delta-folk music, composizione classica, ragtime, e il rock and roll.
Sia da solo, o con una band, Winslow-King è noto per un suono originale che è allo stesso tempo rustico ed elegante.
Originario di Cadillac, Michigan, si trasferì a New Orleans per caso nel 2001. Nel corso di un decennio a New Orleans ha collaborato con una lista di importanti musicisti locali, tra cui: John Boutte, "Washboard" Chaz Leary, George Porter Jr. e Paul Sanchez. Numerosi i concerti nella città adagiata sul Mississippi e, ultimamente, anche presso la CNN e Discovery Channel "Writer of the Week" dall'American Songwriter Magazine nel gennaio 2011. Al Rootsway si esibirà con Roberto Luti, uno dei più bravi e rispettati chitarristi slide italiani che si è fatto conoscere per la sua partecipazione al progetto Playing For Change oltre che per le tante collaborazioni con musicisti dell'area di New Orleans.
