They are telling us that time is passing and we do not live forever. Live every minute as if it is your last, because it IS the last you will ever experience that minute.
TIME al di là del fatto che è un capolavoro musicale è pure un breve trattato di filosofia e di sociologia. Col passare degli anni ne comprendo sempre più il senso profondo estremamente vero e reale.
An earlier comment says you should listen to these works of art in a certain order and they are absolutely correct. After “ Time” the next track should be “ Great Gig In The Sky” each track contributes to put you into the right head space to appreciate the next part, the same can be said about the longer or extended intro’s
@@eddybassreacts no problem mate, it’s so good to see younger folk discovering Pink Floyd …I can never listen to them again for a first time so seeing someone else have their first experience with each track is so good. Keep doing what you’re doing and thank you.
Difficult to explain why they do what they do, it's developed over "Time"; but they use intros to set mood and to make you feel in a blissful trance mode. Then they just play as perfectly and beautifully as they can while reminding us to be human, to be humane in this world. Yes Pink Floyd is a life experience
Hello. Its best to hear their songs in order, from the very start of their albums, because each album is like a story. Each song leads on to the next one. Definitely an experience. Listened to Pink Floyd since the 70's, they've never once let me down. I like your reactions by the way, thank you.
Echoes is one of a kind! So is delicate sound of thunder concert. Much more intensive and soulful as the pulse concert (except comfortly numb). If they hadn't had a technical error at this time for this song (see the confused look of David at the start of the solo), no one would talk about the pulse concert
"Time" is about how life passes by while we're busy with all our obligations and distractions (the subject of the previous song "On the Run"), foolishly thinking we have all the time in the world to put off living the life we really want. "And then one day you find 10 years have got behind you, no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun." A later verse evokes regret for opportunities missed and dreams half-finished. The song ends with a reprise of "Breathe", about growing old, quitting the rat race and re-learning to be in the moment, as we once did naturally as small children. It then segues into "The Great Gig in the Sky", which is about how it feels when we realize our time has run out. The entire first side of the album is a single continuous composition dealing with birth, the demands of living, the passage of time, and the inevitability of death. It's the tale of a life's stages, each song a chapter, brilliantly told in music. It's best appreciated when heard all the way through in order.
The clocks and the chimes/alarms at the beginning are the wake up call, basically ' WAKE UP ' and stop sleeping into old age, then into the song which is basically to stop wasting your life, you only get 1 and make the most of it.
During the intro, your in that "what's going on" frame of mind. exactly the same thing that young people can slip into. you experience live happening but if your not careful you haven't started your own song.
You are so right that nobody can compare with Pink Floyd. They have an incredibly unique sound that I don't think can be reproduced - no matter how good the band is, you can tell right away whether or not you're listening to Pink Floyd. Nightwish did a tribute (not cover) of High Hopes. They didn't try to imitate PF; it is very definitely performed by NW. David Gilmour liked it very much. Whether you choose to react to one, both, or neither, I think you'd really enjoy listening/watching both. I don't have a particular video preference for Pink Floyd, but the best Nightwish video is live from the End of an Era tour in 2005. Both the original and the tribute are absolutely amazing. I revisit them often.
🤗 Music was an experience. 🤔 You need an attention span to enjoy it. 😁 People don't take Time to enjoy anything. 🤷🏿♀️ Next thing, Times Up & 🙏🏿 its "Time" to go.... 🤯 Forever. 😔 Cherish the Time we have, it don't last forever. 🥰🐰
The song starts with assorted alarm bells, other alarms, chimes etc etc. Just as these have been used for over 500 hundred years to wake people up or get their attention.....so too with the song . Ya sittin back waiting for the song to start, first time listening, stereo turned up to 10, THEN.......WTFFFFFFF !!!!! Now you are awake, confused and trying to listen and NOT listen at the same time. Then the alarms start to fade, and a steady percussive beat takes over.....keeping perfect TIME. THEN drum beats and runs are added , but with no structured or varying time signatures......then the song really starts. TIME ends with The Great Gig In The Sky, and both songs should be listened to as one song in 2 very different parts. The Great Gig is the end of time.....the end of my time, your time and life. Although i usually prefer Pink Floyd live, for Time and The Great Gig the original album , vinyl or CD is best.....the newer recordings are remastered digitally and RIP the soul out of The Great Gig and remove the final brilliant vocals of passing.
It’s art. Like Bob Marley. It exists outside of our normal reality. In a hundred years this music will still sound fresh and new.
So true..

Nice reaction, great to see more Pink Floyd. When David Gilmour plays guitar magical sounds are heard. He’s guitar master.😊
Very true

Pink Floyd "Echoes (Part 1)" live at Pompeii 1972
No Audience, No Lights, No Pyrotechnics just Gods playing to the Gods
Great. Will do!!!

Pink Floyd like to keep us waiting for the main part of the song, setting the mood first, then hitting you with a great melody and beat
Great concept..
As a bassist, you'll probably love One of These Days, live from Pulse 1994.
Already did, will be dropping the video soon 😀
Just tickin away the moments that make up a dull day. Thanks for a good reaction. It is more than just music.
YesSir ❤️
