    If someone messages you asking if you want to go to Hamilton the only correct answer is yes

    I saw Hamilton a week ago for my 18th birthday and it was amazing (I don't think I've cried that much within 3 hours before). But becuase of cost, my mum and I had £37.50 tickets in row F of the Grand Circle. I had been admittedly worried about the view but I had looked up photos from roughly the same place we were and it is a great view! I had seen that leg room was crap, but as it was the Grand circle, I kind of assumed that was to be expected (however to hear it's the same in the stalls and dress circle is crazy and not great). My mum and I were at the end of the row right by the left-hand side wall so my mum was able to stretch out into the stairs a bit. Also, there was a small gap between the stairs and seats so we could store coats there to keep leg room free as much as possible. But yeah, I had a great time and for the price, it is a really great experience. So yeah, would recommend (especially as some grand circle tickets can reach £200 for some reason). Anyway, I love your videos, thank you!!

      Thank you so much for sharing your experience here and I'm so glad you loved the show!! ❤️ It makes me sad how bad the legroom is 😂 The aisle seats are definitely a winner if you can get them!

    • @HeyItsOlive415
      @HeyItsOlive415 6 років тому

      I mentioned your comment about leg room to my mum, and her theory was that to completely rework the seating/raking for all three levels would have been such a massive remodeling of the theatre that the show would have been pushed back even further in timings. I don't know if that would be the case, but she also mentioned that whilst the leg room was a bit tight, she didn't feel as affected by as she thought she would be (but that might be because I warned her about it first!). But yeah, the aisle did help overall as it just gave us a bit more space. We also remember looking down at the side benches and thought about how cool they looked as seats, but if the view really is that bad, then maybe not as cool as I originally thought!!

    Honestly, if you love hamilton i would save up for better tickets. I was in row F i think...my ticket was right in the centre and cost £200 but i never missed a thing. If you love hamilton and want a memorable first time seeing it..wait..save up...and make it the best time ever.

      Same. In my opinion if you get the chance to, save for a great ticket at least once. Even if you get cheap tickets the rest of the time, you have experienced everything and know you're not missing out.

      I got the cheapest seats in london and I was able to see burr wink during Schuyler sister's, so you won't miss anything no matter where you're sitting. I honestly dunno what she's on about, idk of any seats in there that you wouldn't be able to see it all.

    I feel the exact same about the main burr. I really didn’t enjoy him when I seen the show. I just think he didn’t have as much passion as I thought he would and I thought he had the same tone all the way through and never changed his voice at all!! I loved everyone else though!!Xx

    I sat at the back of the stalls, at the side, last weekend and it was probably the best I’ve heard the show sound (was my 5th visit) - everything was crystal clear and for the first time all the individual voices were so easy to distinguish. The dress circle overhang really wasn’t too much of a problem either, and the only thing that was cut off was the heads of anyone stood at the front of the side balcony on the side we were sitting

    I saw it back in March 2018 and paid £100 for back of the stalls with the dress circle overhang. I didn’t mind it honestly, you only missed a tiny bit of the top of people’s heads if they were up on the balcony. What I liked from that angle were the shots that look good from below, e.g. the ending of The Room Where It Happens.
    I saw it again yesterday for £37.50 and had grand circle row B in the middle. It was an amazing view for the price: I got to see everything (with very little obstruction from the safety bar) and had a much easier time seeing facial expressions. I loved being able to see the lighting effects on the stage itself too. Probably the luckiest I’ll ever get with seats in Hamilton!

    I must say, I looked in the spur of the moment in Jan/Feb for Hamilton tickets. Literally, the second date I looked at had 2 central £37.50 seats on either side of the aisle. After hmming and ahhing for 5 minutes, I bought the buggers. July, I'm coming to see you, Hamilton!

    paid £275 for the vip package, i know it is a LOT, however our host had said that our seats (middle of the 4th row of the stalls) would have been around £250 without the package so we actually saved a lot considering the bonuses that came with the package. i would say that if you had the money and were willing to splurge £200+ on seats, check out the premium packages because you might be able to get a better deal (especially when you consider that you get complimentary snacks and drinks, a private room and merch).

    I managed to get a seat for £37.50 (Grand Circle G10) in May and I thought the view was excellent. Seat 10 is more towards the middle, so I could see every part of the stage clearly and the rake is very good. However, the legroom is abysmal. Standing up during the interval and at the end was quite painful - but the show is so brilliant that I hardly noticed. I will definitely try to see it again when I'm back in London.

  • @talvanynet

    I loved your comments on the different cast members!
    I think Giles evolved so much in the part since previews, at least in my opinion. I didn't love his performance much when I first saw him, I really like Sifiso's Burr. But then I saw Giles again this month and I absolutely loved the way he portraits Burr, especially how we get to see the way he is affected by the events happening during the show and how that ends up in him doing what he ultimately does.
    I also noticed that Miriam-Teak's mic was low both times I saw her as Angelica, I don't know why that happens. Also, I'm pretty sure the back tracks in Satisfied ("I remember that night, I remember that night...") had Rachel John's voice in at least one of the times, which is funny.
    Did you get a chance to see Ash Hunter as Hamilton? I think his performance was so different from Jamael, and it is very interesting to compare both of them.

    • @RukayaCesar
      @RukayaCesar  6 років тому +1

      Hi Talvany, thanks for watching! I'm excited to see Giles again, it's been ages, I'm sure he's really different now in comparison with when I last saw him. Weird Miriam's mic was low for you too, you're so lucky to have seen her twice! 👏🏼 I saw Ash as Hamilton on my 2nd visit and really loved his portrayal, I agree with you, he's so different!

      My main thought with these videos was to talk about the seats *anyone* can book in advance, so it's fair. Not everyone can queue for standing tickets or stand for a show that's almost 3 hours long, or be able to enter the lottery and come to see the show on a whim. x

    I saw the show in New York at the Rodgers Theatre in March whilst visiting from UK. I was not in the cheapest seats in row R of the stalls. Loads of leg room and a cracking view of the stage due to the raked seating. Well worth the 400! dollars for a brilliant show. I think that theatre beats the Victoria for views and leg room.

    Just saw TINA: The Tina Turner Musical and i sat in Row R in the stalls with a huge dress circle overhang at the Aldwych Theatre, and it did have an affect on my view of the show, but sound wise was absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much. I booked a Grand Circle seat for November. £37.50. Thursday, what I thought was for an evening but turned out to be a matinee. Now in that awful position of having to try and resell the ticket. Or swap to an evening. Wish me luck! p.s. keep the vlogs coming. Massive fan. Looking forward to Wicked cast change and (like you!) I booked my Hamilton tickets for May back in January and I spent like A LOT (200 £).
    We are in the stalls, row N (so quite back, I think? I've never been there)...and now I'm starting to get worried because you just pointed out that thing about having the Dress Circle over your head. I would be really really upset if the view wasn't as good as I expect it to be, mainly because I don't think I'll be able to see the show again very soon (considered how much I spent on that ticket and the fact that I'm coming to London all the way from Italy) so, of course, I want my Hamilton experience to be the best. So I was wondering: do you know if Row N in the Stalls has a good view (and by 'good' I mean without the Dress Circle over my head xD)?
    Thank you so so much and good job with your videos, I love them!

      Hi, I’ve recently seen Hamilton in London at row S of the stalls (second to the back, so really as far back as you can get!) and, in my opinion, I had a perfect view. I could see everything perfectly, even the tops of heads on the balcony section, and the sound was great as well. I wouldn’t be worried at all - considering that your in row N, which is 5 rows in front of the row I sat in! The show is the most incredible thing, enjoy!

    I sat row s 42 in stalls for me second visit and I didn’t find the view restricted apart from being on the edge of the row. I also sat front row stalls £37.50. I’m seeing the show again August (royal circle slip seat 4) and then g38 in grand circle in September. The slip in royal doesn’t look too bad so hopefully my view is better! However I hope it’s numbered in royal because i paid more than the other seats!!!

      Ooo you'll have been in so many spots, love that!! Yeah I should hope the royal circle ones are numbered, if they aren't then just double check the seating plan before you go and check with an usher too to make sure you're definitely in your seat 👍🏼

    The best advice I can give for this show is enter the lottery! I got front row seats for £10, it was amazing

    Hi Rukaya.. not quite Hamilton related.. ish. just got me a ticket for Frozen on Broadway December 27th.. So another Christmas visit is ON!! (if it snows I will cry!!) might try and get a Hamilton ticket also... I'm still confused as to why I didn't like it in London... so maybe I should give it a second chance.. I normally do a 3 or 4 days stay over Christmas ... but I'm worried that there's not much on in December on Broadway that I need to see / haven't seen ... I hope they launch some more exciting new stuff!!!

      AHHH I'm so excited for you! It's ridiculously hard for me right now to not plan another NYC trip for this year 😬 In the past week I know of 7 people who have been over there seeing shows every night and it's too much, I'm so jealous! Glad you managed to get a Frozen ticket, and I'm sure lots more exciting stuff will be open by the time you're there 😄

    Love your videos, so I'm wondering the minimum amount of tickets you can buy is 2 per person? I'm looking to go next year when they get released in August and it's just such a problem as no one that I know will be willing to pay those extauntionate prices! :(

    • @RukayaCesar
      @RukayaCesar  6 років тому +1

      Yeah sorry I might've confused you there! You can absolutely buy a single ticket but you can't leave a single ticket. For example if there are 3 tickets together and you want to buy 2, it won't let you, but if there are 4 tickets and you buy one, leaving 3, that's fine. Hope that makes sense!!

      Rukaya Cesar aha okay, I get you haha! Thank you for clarifying :) Still think the system is not very good though, I'll bare it that in mind when I come to order. Thank you once again :)

    Odd that the Grand circle row A seat 1 you looked at said £57 because I’m seeing it on Thursday (can’t handle the excitement) in Row A seat 1 and 2 and they were £37.50 each!

    Talking of Hamilton - I had a ticket booked for my Birthday, next November. I managed to get a £75.00 front row ticket. Over recent weeks I’ve become a bit ‘meh’ about the whole idea. I think I’ve got TOO caught up in the hype, & hysteria of this show. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m really not bothered about seeing the show. I’m not over fussed by the music, story, or look of the show. So, I’ve cancelled my ticket & got a refund. No disrespect to you OR other fans of the show.

      That's fair enough!! I think as well the front row for Hamilton isn't fab so you might've made a good decision there haha. Obviously I'm a fan of the show so would always say it's worth seeing but yeah, the external side of the show is quite intense! See it at a hopefully cheaper price in the future when the crazy has died down a little and I hope you enjoy it 😊

    I think that if you're going to see Hamilton in a seat like that, I would not go. I don't think it's worth it. You barely see anything and I think you don't get the emotions as well as if you were in a good seat.
