This is such a powerful content!!!! As a nurse to be in the UK, I particularly enjoyed and watched till the end. Thank you for this
Thanks dear
Thank you so much for shedding more light on this, I really found the interview helpful to some people like me. Thanks alots
Not a nurse but enjoy this informative interview. Well done to you and your guests for being authentic. Truly empowering!
That was awesome, well articulated and informative. This Collab is excellent.

Another awsome piece of work. You managed to squeeze out all the juicy information for our consumption. God bless you two.

Thank you so much. I will be looking forward to the next interview
Thank you Nanelle for this ! Great questions you were asking
I love the way you question your guests to just make sure your subscribers understand fully. You are the best🥰.
Thanks dear
Me too, I love the way she questions her interviewee, just to make sure we understand. Good work guys. Keep it up
Excellent content. Touched all the topics I wanted to hear especially the gun violence. Well done!
My big cousin who had been a nurse with NHS for over 10 years just moved to the US with agency gig as a Dialysis Nurse. She's way more appreciated here than she ever was in the UK, and there's already talk of the company she works for buying out her contract. I'm trying to push her to start her NP program so she maximizes her opportunity here cuz really the sky is the starting point in the US, there's so much you can do with nursing. As for your guest, love her transparency and their strategy [1 does agency and other does local travel nursing, they're hella smart!]. She's also in the New England region with us, will definitely connect with her. Stumbled on this video but glad I did, glad to see more nurses exploring the amazing opportunities out there. We need more of them!
Really happy for your cousin. That was a great move !
Wow so happy to hear this kind of positive story as I’m also on my way moving to the USA. I also just love the amount of respect and autonomy and opportunities they are willing to give to nurses there.
Thank you Nanelle for this wonderful interesting video,I really enjoyed it 👍❤️
Jenily was on the ball. Best of luck to you both. I look forward to part 2
Thank you Colleen❤️
It's true. Nurses here in the US have so much more autonomy. We're expected to think critically and find ways to handle every situation before/while notifying the health care provider.
True!!!!!
@@Jenilymicha yes o. American doctors and providers (even other nurses) will be asking the nurses what their professional or medical opinion is on a patient in response to particular symptoms. Lol. Sometimes we can't just rely on a doctors order...it is even encouraged that we always question an order before we fulfill it.
It's alot!!
hmmm
This is very informative 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Thank you so much to the guest speaker and Nanella. Thank you 🤗🤗🤗

Very composed and sincere. I enjoyed watching.
Wow wow she's just so straight & open 💯 with that beautiful smiles on her face 😊 love you girl 😘😘
I am not a nurse and I have no interest in nursing. stumbled on this video and I'm really impressed with how open the US nurse is. She didn't hold back anything.

Shout out to the guest speaker. She was awesome. Let me give and follow Jennifer.

Thank you so much for all you do.
Thank you very much for this video.....it has helped me cleared my doubts

Informative @Jenny. Thanks Nanelle for bringing her to share this. I wish she can come back and give details on using an agency and self sponsoring herself. And did I hear her say she applied as dependent?
Yhhh will bring her back to throw more light
@@NanelleGriselda thanks dear. I can always trust you 👍🏻
This was an awesome interview I thoroughly enjoyed it. It gave some insight on the differences between the two countries. I would like to stress that from state-to-state things are drastically different, what one state might offer others won’t and vice versa. That goes for Cost of living, wages, and insurance. In PA, if you can get into one of the large health car systems I.e. St Luke’s or Mainline Health, you could practically pay pennies-on-the-dollar for insurance, (my monthly payment is $32).
Lovely content! Thanks for the video Nanelle.
Miss seeing your comments Nico ❤️

I am from Canada. I worked briedly as a HCA in the UK and was shocked at the appalling conditions on the wards and lack of training givine to myself. I would never work there again.
Nanelle, this is so so beautiful and informative. I'll really love for her to return to throw more light on the independent and agency application. So so informative. I love the fact that your channel is so unpredictable, one will never know what to expect which is the beauty of it all.

Thanks a bunch for this an 👁️ opener

Thank you for the inspiring and informative video
Wonderful video every one has their preferences . But i think the Brits are warmer and friendlier been to both countries . Health care is the US is very expensive even if you have insurance you dont feel it until you get into an accident or having a baby .
I'm a nurse assistant in Sweden and I'm also thinking of moving out too. Your videos are very informative. Keep it up!
Thanks dear
I think being automotive depends on where you are working
In the hospital I work, nhs hospital you have to be pro active, in detecting abnormalities and quickly call your the doctor for necessary consultation and intervention
Of cause in case whete a patient potassium for instance has come done low ,you would know you need a quick ECG to know if there is no arrhythmia and immediately ask the doctor to prescribe a potassium replacement and then check bloods for improvement
Working in NHS has really equipped me I must say
I absolutely agree with you
Oh yes! NHS really trained me well yrs yrs ago, it's such a shame that you can't train ppl to have good morals with their work colleagues or at work....you can't teach that, either you have it or you don't.
That's why I focus on my dedicated work, be my guarded empathic God fearing person, enjoy my work and I love my job & always leave the rest to God till the end of my shift o🙏🏾😊😊
Yeah. Working in the NHS especially on specialised wards you must be knowledgeable as a nurse. On most of the night shifts we only have an oncall Dr. Covering many areas so if one can't even interpret bloods, ECGs or do CPR, or do an assessment after a pts fall. Or suspect a blood transfusion reaction. Then it's an issue of competence otherwise expectations are you must be competent and skillful that's why we have all the trainings to be better nurses for the NHS.
I don’t normally comment on youtube, but i usually like subscribe and share, however, the clarity in the vedio is so good i love how informative it was and so i had to comment. Keep up the good work.
Wow . Means a lot . Thank you Christina

I am looking for a UK Nursing Graduate whom migrated to US to work as a nurse and I saw this video. I have watched it and it is very interesting one.
Thanks for watching dear
This was so informative and educational
I'm a community specialist practitioner, but currently work as a Practice Nurse. Although I've been a Nurse for 25yrs +. I love to watch these vids. Good work, keep it up. I agree British people are pretenders, you have to watch your back with them. I was born and breed here, but I can't get used to this behaviour. I agree with you in terms of independence, I say, Nurses in England are unfortunately glorified health care assistance sadly. Please if any of you have the opportunity explore other countries.
I’m currently studying nursing in the uk, but they are making me hate the ideal of nursing they pretend a lot and sometimes on placement I just cry 😭 especially the healthcare assistant they’re awful
Learnt this the hard way. It was funny lol
Is there any agency I can apply as a community health worker or health educator

Interesting conversation:-) greetings from Scotland 🏴
Informative. Thanks.
Superb interview. Sometimes its hard to hear the truth. The NHS is hyped so much there in the UK, but the many of the employees there are stretched to their limit and are underpaid. We have family members living in Rhyl, North Wales working as nurses for the NHS. The waiting lists for treatment is years sometimes. My father in law needs a new hearing aide and was put on a list that is 4 yes, 4 years long.!! My wife is a nurse here near Seattle and every facility where she has worked has been so well equipped, clean and modern with the latest equipment. Both of our children were born in huge private suites in the women's center of a major hospital, all paid for by our insurance. We even received a bottle of champaign and a prime rib dinner to celebrate the birth. The problem here is that we don't have a system where everyone has access to quality healthcare but the care is A+. We have a cancer center here that is renowned around the world and my wife see's wealthy Arabs, Europeans and even Canadians here to receive some of the best available cancer treatment in the world. (My wife began her career as a midwife but has been working in Oncology and orthopedics for the past 15 years. (She is from the Philippines and has worked with many nurses from Africa. Who she has always praised for their compassion and lovely manners.) My wife current has over 10 weeks of vacation and 10 weeks of sick time available. Partially due to the extra pay and benefits she received during the pandemic. Her hospital was paying nurses an $800-$1000 weekly bonus during the pandemic. We bought a new motor home back in February.💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
No-one goes bankrupt due to medical treatment in the UK, or any other civilised country
Problem with the nhs is uk people, everyone wants a decent nhs but they don’t want to work for it. They want a decent nhs but they think only the rich should pay tax. If they earn 25k a year they will pay 2000 in tax and 2000 in ni for a year and they think this will pay for the nhs, pensions and benefits they are living in cloud la la land. Really people need to stop asking the government to top up wages and ask their companies the more you earn the more you pay in tax the more it will help the nhs. But no why do that when only rich people should pay.
T for thanks
How about your health insurance? Please let us know thank you
I see how ppl treat the Nurses in US. They are treated with respect. The mere fact that Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system, is ENOUGH to show they shd be respected and taken care of, rather than seeing them as "glorified HCAs" (as they do in the UK/NHS system) I hope one day the NHS/UK culture will have a change of heart towards their Nurses AND increase their paycheck for the back-breaking work they do.
We hope so. Can’t wait to retire.
This is my wish too. I don't know if it's ever going to happen 😕🤔😔 it's very sad though
Honestly
Woow am so happy for you Nanelle and glad to see your channel grow over 50k subscribers...God is good, in as much as we benefit from your page, we also want to see your channel grow. This jus the beginning I believe .

Nice video nanelle, I love what you do❤❤❤.
Thanks dear
I do believe that everyone has their own attitude either in Africa or UK or USA or Canada…I have worked with really nice brits and not so friendly blacks and vice versa. It is so wrong for a colleague to tell you they will report you to NMC and for you to be walking on eggshells at work…you can always work in a different ward or different work setting.
Well said my sister
Well this is the truth, I had med documentation error and I have been told I will be referred to the NMC😢
@Meg Eleeh errors are made and you can write a reflective action for NMC revalidation. NMC is not there to listen to minor issues. If it's gross then you discuss it with your trade union. Otherwise always know some people are there to intimidate you and once you can speak knowledgeable about a situation, they stop the intimidation.
And this was so informative thank you 💕

2 different environments. USA gives more more cash while you work while Europe gives you less but with a generous pension and a secured future. here is my take, if your goal is to come abroad and make money and go back home, then USA is obviously the best option. If you want to live longer, enjoy your holidays and raise children while having a guaranteed future without overworking yourself, Europe is the way to go. I have Americans complaining about lack of holidays, stress and fear of being laid off because it is almost suicide if it happens. I am saying all these for citizens and not temporary visa holders or visitors. So, money vs quality life and peace, it is left to you to choose but always consider all options and don't get carried away by just pay check.
Well said👍🏾
Well said
You have put it so well! 💯💯. I have lived in both and so I know what you are saying is true.
I have lived in both… I the US you make you bed how you wanna lay in it. In healthcare if you loose your job you can get another almost immediately. Also we get pensions, social security. We don’t get as much holiday as Europeans but everything else is same with USA paying more. You can make it in life easier in the USA. Europe has way less opportunities especially for foreigners and POC. I say if you want a good life and make it in life go to USA. If you are contempt with living an average life then definitely go to Europe. We don’t work to death here btw.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Your views are for RN doing bedside Nursing only, once you do more module you will be fine working as an ACP. No need to really relocate if you do not want to. Every country has it’s pros and cons. With Nursing in the UK you just have network with the Right people. I have never been in a Situation where patients do not trust my judgement. My role as a nurse is to empower patients.
Beautiful. I LOVED this interview. I know exactly what this woman is talking about sadly. There is also a sort of "capping" here in the UK. I have friends in the US who are doing crazy exploits in their professions, which they cudnt achieve as easily if they were here in the UK: there is so much overhead here. I have been in the UK for 11 years now.... I've tried to make "home" here, and ppl seem abit "cold" here and two-faced sadly. I've always wanted to move to USA. By God's grace I will move over there soon.
Two Faced !!!!!!
I’m in the UK and I understand perfectly well on all she is saying. You have to watch your back when working with the Brit’s,they mess up my mental health each time I go to work here,am even scared to relate with them because they are all pretenders, they laugh with you but they don’t like you…I really want to move to the USA.I just need direction.
You're welcome to America🇺🇸
@@ajaratuwilliams4780 I’m still looking for direction on how to relocate yet.
Most English people are so fake. They're so arrogant and feel like they're better than everyone else. Meanwhile Americans who came to my church here in the UK are so authentic and friendly. I love Americans
Agency nurses earn between £30-40 per hour. Medical care and other things are free in UK but you need insurance to enable you get health and other benefits.
In Australia currently, there are nurses with infection control experience being paid $120/hr(Mon-fri AM shift), $132/hr (mon -fri PM shifr), $138/hr (mon-fri Night shift) $180/hr (saturday) $210/hr Sunday and $240/hr public holiday.
Wats d process to come to Australia n wars d weather like 🤔

US or UK, the friends and family we make when we move overseas matter. I work in UK but even with the hardships I feel it's become home to me. Not much more...of course you can't get enuf of it but the friends I have made aren't to be traded for a new beginning in late 30s
Health care is not free in the UK. It’s free point of care at the time of need. We pay huge tax to fund the NHS.
And we still do get social benefit from it, right? Just be grateful 😇

UK, Nurses, Doctors and other healthcare professionals are paid Government employees for a government run socialized healthcare NHS Tax funded system which has objectives to provide optimised care for all.
In the US where Nurses and Docs are employees effectively working for multi- billion dollar healthcare industry with operates with the objective to make as much profit as possible. Of course people working for the latter are going to get paid more. A better comparison would be working in the UK Private health sector and how that compares to working in the American one as there is no NHS equivalent in America.
So true
