- Immediately after driving off the Taliban from Bravo 1-6, Gunfighter 06 tests their weapon systems on static vehicles in a valley. Once they are confirmed to be operational, the two helicopters identify and destroy three enemy mortar teams with Hellfire missiles.
The next target is a small hillside village suspected of being used as an ammunition cache. The village is heavily defended with small arms but the gunships engage the village regardless. One building, after being struck by numerous Hydra rockets detonates with a large secondary explosion, confirming that the suspected ammo cache had been destroyed.
During the engagement, Gunfighter 11 had sustained a direct hit from an RPG and lost the use of her weapon systems. The airmen decide to continue the search-and-destroy operation by having Gunfighter 11 mark targets and Gunfighter 06 destroy them with Hellfires. The helos strafe a number of enemy mortar and RPG positions, and destroy an encampment. As they are preparing to return to base, the Gunfighters are ambushed by a camouflaged anti-aircraft gun position and take damage. The gunships counter attack and destroy the enemy position with the last of their ammunition.
On the return flight, the helos are targeted by another anti-aircraft weapon and with no ammunition remaining can not defend themselves. Moments before the gunner opens fire, however, he is shot in the head by an unseen shooter who the Apache crews praise over the radio.

People said that Frostbite multiplayer was better by the engine and SP campaign looked old by the engine the MOH have used. I miss this game.

13 years old and still better than most games out today. Just goes to show newer isn't always better.
I remember when we were making this, Tim Sweeney came by and asked how we were doing this with the terrain engine. We told him, "we aren't. The terrain engine couldn't handle this." LOL. It was a tough development (as they all seem to be), but worth it. I think we did great work, despite the haters constantly comparing to COD. Fun Fact: This level was implemented by Max Spielberg (yes, that Spielberg). He had to do this several times over because an exec thought choppers should fly/attack like fighter jets and wanted more "dive bombing". I spent years making Strike games (Desert, Jungle, Urban, Nuclear)... I told him I'm pretty versed in how choppers attack and your Hollywood way would get people killed. This version is the compromise.
Make it again we need games like this more than ever now 😭
The best part about this MOH series was realistic sound of radio chatter which COD never does. It made me fall in love with this game.

That "RPG! RPG!" brought back a lot of memories.
Imagine if next gen medal of honor achieved with UE5 . This is just more than decade ago game engine which was Unreal Engine 3

Man, that's because those kills were so light to see... The real apache guns would literally obliterate the terrorists! Pieces of them flying all over, ugly scene to be seen.

@@fightingcock6920 Absolutely. I was stationed at Fort Hood and Fort Bragg and saw them on the ranges during FTX's. They fly low.

I made the interior of the Apache. I had a little book to use as reference. I think, if I recall correctly, that whatever appeared on the center monitor screen was classified, so I just made that stuff up.

Those Apaches would have been murdered getting that close to that village. No way could they stand up to that much small arms fire, much less multiple RPG hits.

Graphics ar much better than we had on Apache/Havoc, and at least there are a lot less Mig 21s on you case in here. I used play that game a lot. Looking at this though, it is no flight sim. Just a kiddies game

One of my personal favorites along with the follow up Warfighter. I remember all the COD and BF fanboys just shitting on this game fearing it's possibilities! I still play on my Ps3 every now and then.

how do i fix the "weapon disable" thing. tried to reset the controls on the menu but it didnt work. still keeps on saying weapon disabled. and the only way to destroy those buildings is to use the hellfire missiles. anyone?
