The red hand is set to GMT. The bezel is used to set the home time zone which is also indicated by the red hand. The normal hour hand is used for setting to the local time zone. By doing this, the watch is able to track 3 time zones at a glance.
I believe the local hour hand can be set to jump by the hour so when you land in your destination, you would jump the local hour hand only without modifying the home time zone.
Let the haters hate....extremely happy with mine bought at retail price. I had to let go an Omega Planet Ocean and a Tudor Black Bay. No regrets whatsoever.
Thank you for a great video. Very educational. Beautiful watch. It’s interesting how many people throughout the world know the Rolex brand. If I didn’t have a mortgage and two kids ready to go college I would definitely buy a Rolex...Maybe two.
Save up man, get it once the kids are through college. I got one as a wedding gift nearly 2 years ago, knew I probably wouldn't get one once I have kids.
Well, you can save up. It's not that impressive to wear the price of a used Honda Civic on your wrist. It's about priorities (and your mortgage and kids are far more important than some $2000 watch with $10000 of marketing costs). The hard part will be when you've got the kids through college, paid off your house, made your first million, saved up ten grand, and then walk into a Rolex dealer only to be sneered at and told you're not worthy. :-P
Guys, before reviewing a watch learn to use it. The "long red hand" it's called the GMT hand for a reason: it have to be set to the GMT (Greenwich Meridian Time) time so the bezel can be use to calculate the time of different time zones by adding or subtracting hours. That's how was intended to be used
Yes, that's how pilots used it, my explanation was correct so don't start your sentence by saying "learn to use it" because there is nothing wrong. 👍 There are a few ways to set the GMT not only 1
At first i thought i would like the Root Beer more than the Pepsi, but after having both I immediately sold the Root Beer bcos it’s too old and bit of boring looking to me. But with the Pepsi i got compliments a lot from all of my workmates. So the hype is real for this Pepsi i have to believe it now
Tried one on and had a think about it. It’s a striking fun piece but I really can’t go with a jubilee bracelet on a sports watch. Doesn’t look cool and gives the watch a Frankenstein look, mismatched pieces put together by a blind cobbler. Sure, everyone is fighting over it but I can’t see the appeal. A case of the empero’rs clothes.
Yes, it is a Rolex, bought in Switzerland. This is not a channel with fake watches don't worry about that 😅. Rolex is made by machines, sometimes imperfections happen👍

Pepsi is one of the most hyped rolex models but look at those sluggish details! Imperfections are simply unacceptable for me. I would request a new one if i got that from an AD.
I understand what you mean but I think Rolex wouldn't do anything about it unfortunately. They have a "margin of error" and the AD would probably tell you to sell it yourself and you'd have to wait for a new one...
I was shocked to get a text yesterday from my AD that my GMT II Pepsi is in. Store is closed to the public and I was very surprised that they got one in. We thought it might be in in March, but when Rolex closed down, we figured fall at the earliest. For whatever reason, they got it in. I put my name on the list about 6 months ago. I'm a collector, not a flipper and a good customer, so am pretty sure I get moved up on the list. Anyway, $9,700 and it should arrive by 4/21/20.

Your directions on setting the time for local and home are not correct, at least not how Rolex proposes. Rolex wants you to set the 24hr hand to "home" and then you and use the hour jumper to the local time upon landing, while the "home time" remaining as per the 24hr hand. The third time zone is achieved by then rotating the bezel, but that's for example to determine the time in a location where you intend to make a phone call.
As u said "not how Rolex proposes". I use my GMT this way and works perfectly fine. There are more ways to do it so stating its incorrect is a bit overboard. 😁👌
With Rolex you pay for the brand name, stability, history. I personally would prefer any other watch on your channel. This range of watches need something extra, something that captivates my eyes when I glance at it. The name itself is not enough for me.
Though I could agree with the brand name, for stability and history it would be Omega. Though it's sad that they're becoming like more and more looking like a rolex rival (could be seen with their line ups like their recent constellations, aquaterras and planet oceans), I'm glad that so far they're going to the right direction from the recent two years (aquaterra worldtimer, METAS cert speedy moonwatch, seamaster anniversary and globemasters).
