  • Did you know that even saints argued and fought?
    But does that give me the license to fight?
    How can I make my fights holy?
    Why does God allow this?
    Br. Vincent will unravel this mystery.

    Tears! Thank you Brother Vincent!
    St. Scholastica LOVED her brother soooo much, she begged God, to help him spend the night with her. Then, she died??? Was that why, God answered St. Scholastica's prayers to have her brother with her, so he could experience, her love for him, before she passed away! Maybe he needed to experience the depths of her heart. Such beauty in her heart!
    And, sometimes, we can make all the rules in the world, but they are meaningless without LOVE! Didnt St. Paul tell us something to that effect?
    If St. Benedict's "rules" were for LOVE OF GOD, THEN, YES, GOD CHOSE St. Scholastica, most likely because God knew she would die, and He WANTED St. Benedict to know her love, to experience her love for him, and to help him.
    In Ecclesiastes, it says our thoughts are in "vain." So if our thoughts are in vain, then so are the rules we could make with those thoughts IF THEY ARE NOT IN LOVE FOR OUR LORD.
    What's MOST IMPORTANT IS FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE, .......FOR ONLY THESE WILL REMAIN. AMEN.
    Thank you Brother Vincent! I always enjoy your presentations!

      Gracie, it would seem that she was giving herself over entirely to faith in God, and in confidence that He would answer her prayer, if it was His will.

    Bro Vincent,
    I heard you say angels don’t have mouths? How did Gabriel tell Mary?
    Mentally? Could you clarify that.

    • @brothernimishcoelho
      @brothernimishcoelho 16 днів тому

      Angels are pure spirits. They don't have mouths because they don't have bodies. We don't have the exact details of the Anunciation, but in that case we assume that the angel took on a bodily form to speak to Mary. That body did not belong to the angel. But angels can assume bodies to communicate with us. Angels can communicate with us without bodies, by telepathy for example. But even the act of putting their ideas into human language is already below their nature. They communicate with each other with ideas rather than words. It's hard to understand. NEVERTHELESS we should not think of their lack of bodies as a limitation per see. They are not limited by bodies like us. They are not corruptible like us. Thier lack of bodies is an advantage in most cases rather than a disadvantage. There are advantages of having bodies, but I'm not sure you are interested in that issue now. Fr. Timothy has made a wonderful course on the angels. He is preparing his second module. reconquest.heralds.org/course/the-holy-angels-our-companions-for-all-eternity/

      Hello! That is an excellent question. The Bible passage is not sufficiently explicit to answer it definitively. However, there are several possibilities. Angels can communicate with us by interior locution (something like telepathy). However, from the description in the Gospel of St. Luke it seems more likely that St. Gabriel assumed a body and appeared to Mary. These bodies according to St. Thomas are made from matter of this earth by the Angel to appear under a human form to us. We can think of it like a Sacrament of the Angelic presence - a sort of sign of their nature. Angels are spirits and do not have bodies, but they appear with wings to symbolize their agility. They do not have bodies, but these bodies they assume emit light to show that they are blessed creatures and so on... As for the mouth: the body they assume would have a mouth, and they would move the air to produce the sound-waves that imitate a human voice. This is not theatre, but a way of communicating with humans who know things through our senses. It could be that Our Lady, being so perfect, received both - a physical visit and a mental illumination. Hope that makes sense... The Heralds have a course on the Angels where all this is explained in detail:

    They didn't fight! 🤔 Maybe disagreed, to fight is anger and anger is the work of satan. She prayed for GOD'S intervention because she her time was coming.

    • @brothernimishcoelho
      @brothernimishcoelho 17 днів тому

      Granted. But in the loose sense of the word, it was a fight, a clash of wills. Anger doesn't necessarily com from the devil. Anger can be righteous. Don't you agree with me?
