Feels like Gen 5 was their last mainline game that GF put real effort into. I loved Legends Arceus, but the mainline games have just been getting worse and worse.
To be fair, when you're in the reds you're either gonna be healing yourself up or you'll end up switching for another Pokemon so the song doesn't stay for that long, as well as adding some urgency in a fight.
I like to think the song itself is the trainer’s anxiety and desperation as they try to think of their next move to either heal their pokemon or to finish off the opponent, while the beeping is the pokemon itself struggling to stay conscious and keep fighting for its trainer

I do that with a rattata sometimes. You can also have a sand storm, and a level one pokemon with a focus slash that is imune to the sandstorm use endeavour. It does the same thing but it takes one turn.

Honestly if they put it in the new version i wouldn't have had a problem(I don't pay attention to my hp as i should.) but it would've ruined my flow as im battling so it would've made me not only in a panicked state but....would've even lost track of what my next move would've been.. so it's good yet bad.
