- Hi and welcome back to this video on the rebuild of my RS Turbo. In this video I weld in the drivers side inner sill.
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing to my channel.
👍
You can remove the framework the Roof and inner sill will easily take the load. Great videos. 👍👍
Should be fine to take the frame out now the inner sill is solid.
Great video as always
Yes you can take the frame away now. The outer sill doesn’t give much strength overall the inner sill and floor are strong enough on their own to stay rigid.
Good job you’re doing. By the time it’s a seam sealed and painted it will look mint 👌👌
Thanks for sharing, you are doing very good work. Keep it up. I mean clearly you can take away the reinforcements now. The outer skin is more or less cosmetic, it is the inner part that is the load-bearing part and absorbs more tensile forces than deflections. Greetings from Norway
Thank you for your comment, it will make the final clean up of all the welds so much easier when the frame has been removed 👍
Great progress Chris starting to come together now 👌👍
Great work on the inner sill mate 👏🏻👏🏻 your making some good progress now 👍🏻
Thanks mate.
Keep u the blog coming u keep motivated to work on my escort ❤
Thank you so much.👍 I’m glad my videos are help you and others to work on their own cars
Top job Chris 😎
Good work.
Great video Chris 👍🏻 what welder are you using? And also where the hell did you get that massive C clamp from for £6 haha 😂
Thank you, my welder is a Reboot RBM-1600. It’s from Amazon. I find it so much better than any other welder I’ve owned, I believe I paid about £360 for it. Lol, I bought the big clamp about 20 years ago at an auto jumble. It’s been worth every penny of the £6 I paid for it.👍
nah mate you cant remove the framework, its got to stay there forever now.... 😂😂😂
Lol, I’m too old to be sliding in the driver side. Brings back the days of roll cages👍
