the avetts are humble and they did this number in a style that honored john denver beautifully. i grew up listening to john denver and his songs are woven into many of the finer moments of my childhood. i think the avett brothers did a wonderful job here and showed total respect and humble showmanship. i wish them a long and prodigious future. my ears and musical heart will be happier for their continued contributions. i am glad they were included. they took part nicely. thank you for posting !
was at this concert with my daughter the day after her 21st birthday will never ever ever forget it a lasting memory at red rocks took me an hour to climb up there but hell im 57 well worth it
Bought my first guitar at the age of 13 because of John Denver. He was a tremendous influence on me not only because of his music but also because of his core values. Have not felt that way about any musician(s) since then until my son introduced me to The Avett Brothers a couple of years ago. To have the Avetts cover John Denver is a tremendous gift. Thank you!
