Yes it was very common in remote villages of Indian subcontinent.
This happens all over the middle East. So ironic because it's their obsession with calculating age based on year that creates fake birthdays where being born after mid year means you're declared a year older after a few months. So many people have January first as their birthday to "save" a year of the child's life.

Every scholars has something to teach but problem starts when everyone tries to explain each and everything perfectly as per their understanding. Learn bits from everyone don't think they are infallible.

If stoning is Allah's plan for eternity He would have allowed it to be included in the Qur'an. Qur'an is the primary source of Sharia and Haidth is only meant to explain the Qur'an more. Qur'an is clear that on the type punishments for Adultery in Islam - Stoning is not there!

It is the final testement to mankind. The hadith however is a totally different thing. Its man made. We have no way of validating whats true and what isnt. Many hadith have been heavily critisized. At the end of the day the author of the hadith are men who are capable of making errors. The same CANNOT be said about the Quran

My two fav Muslim scholars alonwith Javed Ghamidi of Pakistan. I used to listen Ghamidi Saheb but I just found these two scholars this year. Its my bad luck I did not found them before.

Vital point to be mentioned is that the relationship between rulers and some of the organized religious group from the time unknown to todate contibute to corrupt Creator's religion for people for the interests of those two parties.

In arabic, this addition of unit 10 starts from ten so sitta ( six ) ashara ( 10 ) and tisata ( nine ) ashara ( ten).. Its quite possible that this word ashara (10 ) dropped somewhere.

But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah . And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew.

Are we united because of the tradition or because of the quranic foundations? Aren’t we kind of divided in terms of our own understanings of traditions or even on quranic interpretation in generally speaking? Isn't the bottom line singualrity in diversity and in the end of the of the day it’s between the individual and the Creator?
People who will try to interpret the Qur'an on their own, without understanding the Context of why the Verse was revealed and the Sunnah related to it, will always be MindTrapped.

Why does he bring up the old law of stoning in the old testament which was abolished in the new testament to make a point. Always trying to drag other religions to justify things in islam
because there is a hadith 2here it says there was a Quranic chapter about stoning but a goat ate it so some ISis or extreme person still belive and lives by this as people should be punish by stoning to death. This was practiced by the jews and Christians and the Quran does not mention stoning. this is why they brought this up.

Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became Allright, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age.
