Altough it was just one day, they knew they might never get to see her again because she was from Pakistan. The tension between India and Pakistan still exists, it was even worse back then.

Fun Fact : The house of Zara is the residential palace of the ruler of Pataudi (a small kingdom in british india), the current ruler albeit ceremonious is Saif Ali Khan ( the guy from Kal ho na ho) and his wife is Kareena Kapoor ( the girl from Jab We Met)
Music scene: Did you even understand what it was all about? In the song "Main Yahaan Hoon" she gets engaged to the Pakistani man and during the function she is constantly thinking of Veer. You also have to read the subtitles during the songs. This song is telling us that she is constantly thinking of him and that she wished she could get engaged to Veer instead of the other guy. You are doing a good job, but you should pay more attention to the songs and their meaning for the plot.
The guy you both were talking about is Manoj Vajpayee. He is one of the best actors in the Indian industry currently.
You guys saw him in Gangs of Wasseypur.
Fun fact: SRK and Manoj are from the same theater and have known each other(acquaintances) since then.
This movie is about soulmates, that unexplained instant connection you have with someone across space and time. If you see it from this perspective you might understand their love story better. Loved your reactions anyway, especially when y'all guess plot points that are totally wrong. I do that too. It's part of the fun😂
That "water world" was a Muslim Prayer place, n water pool plays a functional importance in their prayer procedure. (Cleaning oneself before prayers)

This movie is a masterpiece
I have watched this iconic movie several times and it's one of our classics. But watching it again like this with you is really interesting and I just love your reactions. All the characters in this movie like parents of Veer and Zara, her fiancee all are big superstars of Bollywood. Even the woman Shabbo playing househelp of zara is a great actress. This was a huge multistarer movie and the beautiful lyrics of all songs were written by great lyricist Gulzar. The music of this film is like out of this world.
It's really not easy to understand everything for you as obviously you do not know much about India and Pakistan, our culture. But we have several famous legendary true love stories of platonic love.
Believe me when i say when you meet a right person in a long time 2 days seems like a lifetime.
Guys, sometimes you need to pay attention to the songs in the film. The lyrics are beautiful but you are so busy in unnecessary laugh and talks that you miss those. This is a classic film btw.

The other guy, Manoj Bajpay is also an icon of hindi cinema. Do react to Maqbool and Gangs of Wasseypur. He steals every frame!
Haha the guy who you thought had that classic villain look with his thin moustache is actually Manoj Bajpayee. He's a brilliant actor and you may remember him as Sardar Khan (Faizal's dad) in gangs of wasseypur.
And yes, Veer and Zaara literally only spent two days together but realism isn't why we watch Bollywood romances lmao. Especially with the oldschool ones. If you're able to suspend your disbelief, the only thing that matters imo is whether your actors have enough chemistry to sell it to you and in this case, I think they 100% do.
Also I kind of love the thoery of Rani Mukherjee's character (the lawyer) being from the village school Zara helped set up however it isn't actually possible since she's a Pakistani and Zara's school was set up in a village in India. I mean, they could have chosen to go in that direction and narrative wise it would have been great but I think having the person fighting for Veer also be a true born Pakistani holds a lot more meaning.
Anyway I really enjoyed watching this video and I look forward to the next part! Have a good day guys :)

They have to do that to limit chances of copyright strikes

They have to talk during songs because copyright issues, you have to be commentating on videos/music you dont own to fairly use them on UA-cam
Or you can just mute the music but then you're just staring at them silently. Obviously when its a song it gives them an opportunity to talk, give insights, make jokes because you gotta be fully focused on the actual story/dialogues when thats happening. 😂 and they fully read some of the lyrics out loud too sometimes.
Reaction channels have to talk alot or else you'd just be staring at people in silence, whats the point then

I think people are overreacting in the comments about you 2 not paying attention or not understanding certain cultural aspects 😂 guys watch the older videos they have more sensibilites and appreciation for indian cinema than most react channels. They are of course learning the culture while watching these movies for 12 hours a day so give them a break LOL
