Hi Gary, I have several copies each of this paint job from different angles saved on both my phone and my tablet. And today is when I finally stumbled on these videos and your channel for the first time. Thanks for documenting the process. I have this saved for reference and inspiration because this job has so many of my favorite ideas in pattern selection, stripes, panel layout, color scheme, etc.. Just a great job.
Even the clearcoat on the finished tank is beautiful, particularly because it's not overdone. So many folks think that clear needs to be 1/4" thick to look good. This is the right on, as it allows us to actually see the artwork.
Hi Gary, being new to airbrushing I’ve watched a lot of videos on them, but this by far is the best instructional video I’ve seen. The camera close ups are amazing and your talk through is amazing as well. Thank you!!
Do you have a video about how to mix your paints properly? About to dive into it but that's one thing I'd like to know more about. How much thinner, types, etc .
If your stuck using green tape as fine line, shoot clear before color or pattern and you won't get bleed through/under from my experiences, but I shoot rattle can with all sorts of different tips after all my paint equipment was pilfered so I get to skip all the gun cleaning
Thanks for the video and the detailed explanations. Learned so much from this part. I have a question though, when you spray the stencils contour do you spray the Candy color or is it black basecoat? It looks black but I don't know....thanks again
End result is beautiful, but I would have started my lotus bloom at the front and worked toward the rear of the tank, so that I'm not taping over fresh paint every time... just a suggestion.

Great job Gary. That is a lot of time in just that tank.
Appreciate you sharing your skills. All the best

awesome !! i subbed ya !! your work looks great !!!
Good video.
Did you sand the clear coat that's over the metal flake before taping up the design? Clear coat looks awful smooth and shiny.

You can use a darker color candy or the base coat. It’s whatever you prefer. Thanks for watching!
it looks amazing! thanks for the video as i am learning to airbrush! where did you get the stencils? Greetings from the Netherlands
Thanks for watching! The stencils come from Lime Line. You can get them on Amazon.
@@thebandybunch4979 do you have a link for this stencil, I was looking at lime line site but is not the same.
Hi what masking tape do you use. Just I have problems with the tape wrinkling on tight corners.
26:01 what psi are you running here with that ratio paint?

Was that black candy or basecoat?
What psi you run when spraying the lotus flowers?
where can I get those lotus stencils?
Great skill but for an informative video it would be dope to not have background music playing even though it’s a solid playlist
What brand of candy paint did you use?
It’s House of Kolor paint
Youve probably been asked more times then you can count. What does a custom paint job like that cost.
what brand of pin stripe tape is that?
