The TGR Jane V2 CE can be mounted with either a gasket or traditional top mount with screws. This video shows the gasket style, and I have another video with top-mount style.

i love this extra bit in the front where you assemble the board. loved it for the 8xv2.0 and love it for this v2 ce as well please continue doing this
Favorite sound test bar none. Bro you made me fall in love with the Jane V2 Ce
So much quieter...but I think I prefer the sound from top mount tbh. I like the new video format you've been trying out as well!
I like this new style alot! Also great sound!
Wow. this sounds great, but I think I like the more bassy sound signature of the top mount config just a slight bit more
Such a nice board, nice vid :)
Wow the difference from this to the top mount, the reverb is so much less
WE MISS YOU VELVET!
Very nice and sounds great
this sounds fucking insane i love it
Amazing work as usual! Slightly muted imo compared to non gasket. 👍👍
Nice video!!!
+1 for the Murakami
so good
Gimme dem keycaps 😈
why say in the title that the blacks are vintage blacks but in the description they are retooled blacks
I love high quality camera's as much as the next person, but is there a way to use smaller aperture have less bokeh and just have everything in focus? I noticed this on Taeha's stream too, sometimes I think it might be nicer to not fight the auto focus so much and increase depth of field?
Not sure if it's possible I have not gotten my hands on a nice camera yet.
my room has bad lighting so i am forced to use the smallest aperture i can without having to bump the iso too much
What durometer level is the O-ring that it comes with? 50A?
GHV4 is mixed with 206 and 106 10: 3, 206 is 10?
where can I buy a rubber gasket like the one you used
are these Retooled MX Blacks from the old batches , i heard that Retooled Blacks in newer batches r really scratchy ?
henriii these are recent from this year
Velvet interesting , retooled black haven’t been that good and smooth as they are before tho , yours probably a good batch !
where are the gaskets? i dont see them
0:33
hey, did you just lube the stabs or you using stabs stickers as well? and how long did you break in that mx blacks? cause its sound so damn good
dont use stab stickers bro
May I know the dimensions of the gasket? Mine got ripped and I've been trying to search high and low for answers on the dimensions so I can get a replacement
nice goosket
I've noticed ghv4 lubed mx blacks sound very buttery smooth, how would you compare it with kry205g0?
i dont like 205g0 tbh, its too thick for me
how much vintage black switches did you order? I heard a lot of them are scratchy and inconsistent and you have to "cherry" pick them
Oooga Booga yes that is true. They can be very scratchy
You can use screw-in stabs on this method of gasket? btw does it matter what side the thick part of stabs is mounted upside or to downwards?
Screw in stab on the spacebar requires filing for gasket to fit. It will fit only one way
What are those things around some of the stabilizers?
top mount mounting points
How flexible is this board when you are typing?
more of a bounce than a flex
Did you purchase the gasket separately or did it come with the kit? I'm curious to try this with my Jane-CE (v1)
It came with the kit. The V2 CE was designed specifically to utilize the gasket
Very nice video but the auto focus needs improvement. I also find watching soldering to a be a very calming experience.
Leifur Pálsson my lens is not native to the body it is adapted thats why autofocus is not good
@@VelvetKeyboards I don't know anything about video recording but hopefully you can buy a new camera/lens from your ad revenue because I really like your content.
Hey Velvet, just wanted to ask, how do you achieve this type of sound profile? I'm aware that the construction of a keyboard plays a huge role in how the sounds are produced. It's that thocky, crisply, raindrop sound profile that I'm looking for like the one in this video with the TGR Jane.
the gasket and aluminum plate are the best way to get this kind of sound. the cherry housing and style of lubing also helps
What batch is this retooled black from?
2017
Where'd you purchase the gasket?
im not sure where to buy these, it came with the board
Using 3204 on wires is better??
Better compared to? I've tried dielectric grease, superlube, and 205g0. I think it's definitely better than using grease or superlube, but 205g0 is just as good.
