- Each one of these Panoramaxx welding kids are very similar to each other in spec and aesthetic, but I dissect them to highlight which one will best suit your application!
Thanks for the review!
Just a small tipp, by editing your video reduce the volume of music when you are talking, is kind of distracting.
I hear you loud and clear. I appreciate the feedback my friend. When I edited I was using my Bose headphones and it sounded good, I now see it sounds different on pretty much every other speaker I have listened on. I will absolutely take that advice on the upcoming videos 🙏
Yo! Birdman perfect vid buddy!
Thx brother man 😎
sorry, hard to hear you because background is a bit louder than your voice. I was wondering about the difference between the CLT and the lower end Optrel models, is there a vid on that? thnx
My only comment is that my husband has panaramaxx 2.5 and still has a lot of problems with his helmet working like the thing quits working he has done went through three of them so are the new panaramaxx cLt better helmets and who should I get in touch with for him to be able to try one out
Hi Shannon! I am sorry to hear that! The Panoramaxx 2.5 is one I do not have a ton of experience with, but I am sorry he's having such a tough time with them! However, I can tell you I use my Panoramaxx CLT daily and never have any issues with it. I would reach out directly to customer service at optrel.us/contact-us/ and let them now what's been going on. Alternatively you could try hitting them on Instagram. They are usually quick to respond and may be able to guide you to the right person to talk to on their team. Good Luck :)
can you wear a resirator under these hoods?
Which optrel lid would be best for industrial Flux core mig welding?
Hey! If you are welding in funny positions in the field, or out on site I would recommend the Quattro for sure. If you're at a bench or in a shop in fairly routine positions either the 2.5 or CLT will be a win!
Is it still tinted green while welding? I see conflicting info all over the internet. Some say true color, some say green, some say blue...
That’s what I was wondering
Is the grey /silver helmet Better than the Lincoln 3350. Or Miller infinity. Vision/ when welding? They make it seem like it would be like staring at the weld puddle without a hood on?
Hey my man! Which lid are you referring to in particular? The CLT is about as true colour as it can get! I put in a few hours yesterday and no joke I feel like sometimes I forget I leave it down after I finish a weld because it's so damn true to life. I see no colour tint in the CLT
@@sloppyjonuts9162 I can't speak on the other brands as I started using Optrel lids about 20yrs ago and never had any reason to try others
@@sloppyjonuts9162 I've used the Viking, a 3m speedglass (looks like trying to look through a water bottle, super distorted look to the lens) and have tried a couple different Miller hoods while I was in a welding engineering program at NEIT. None of them come close to the quality of Optrel's Panoramaxx and Sphere series hoods.
Super
How often do you charge the battery on the clt ?
I have not put a lot of hours into this helmet yet, I have just used it for small projects. I have not charged it once yet! When it comes time I can let you know. 🙏
I have the clt and when I’m welding and the shade level is inconsistent and shade levels are not the same left to right, is the Quattro full shade for whole screen? Because the clt was shade and no shade in different angles
If that makes sense
where can I buy that daggum shirt?!?
Hahaah that's an OG design , that one is the last of it's kind, for many years now. Perhaps I do a throwback run soon... What size?!
@@birdmanthewelder L ! :)
@@eimkeith I don't have any in this design, but have L's in another design. DM me on IG and I'll send you pics my man
@@birdmanthewelder I'll do it! also, FWIW I was taught "lid" but who knows?
Awesome shiz BIRDMAN!!
Yeeeeah boiiiii
Who is the supplier in Canada for Optrel??
Whereabouts in Canada are you buddy? I am out west and my go-to is Ted Beatty at Air Liquide in Langley. Email me first though before you buy, I may just be able to help you out!
@@birdmanthewelder Calgary AB...replied on your other video, but ended up with the Crystal 2.0!!
@@birdmanthewelder cheaper in langley or the optrel site?
Not sure! I would try both and see what you get! Use code: Birdman2022 on the Optrel site!
@@birdmanthewelder I used your code today 👍
" They all weigh in at the same weight, very light weight "
Cool man, but what is the actual weight. Even Optrel doesn't specify on website. Is this difficult?
" Lense is 6x larger than your average 2x4 lense "
Again Optrel doesn't specify lense size on website and now on here i have to do math which might not even be accurate.
Good video otherwise. Thanks for info.
Sorry, did not have my scale in the shop the day I filmed. If you want to know exact specifications on weight and lens size, Optrel's customer support is great, I am sure they'd be happy to answer your questions
I know that the Panoramaxx style is 18 ounces, so just over a pound! However, the lens is most of the weight, and the shell is like 8 of those ounces. It sits great on my head, both styles of headgears, doesn't bother me after a 8 hours of wearing it.
@@chrisolsen454 thx for the facts and the feedback 🙌
