For those asking about the WORLD banner. I probably should have subtitled the reasoning as it certainly does look like I just forgot to attach it! When I Releather these Winged Eagles I prefer to glue the banner in place because with the screws left in place they create really large bumps in the back of the leather that just look a bit ugly. By gluing it in place and not using the screws the back looks a lot tidier in my opinion 😁👍🏻
I agree, I can say from experience when I took the winged eagle to the WWE LIVE show a few weeks ago in Newcastle, that my shoulder was sore afterwards because the screws where teh "WORLD" banner was actually pressed against it really hard.
Never thought I'd see the day where a major name on the releathering world would record & share his process. Always admired your work, Paul. Keep up the good work 👏
@@PaulMartinBelts I may have missed that program but I'll be sure to view it eventually. I was heavily involved in the community years ago but left due to nerve damage caused from an auto accident - ending my releathering career. Happy to see you're keeping the game going I'll look forward to your future work
Man! You are a master of your craft, sir! Don’t know why I haven’t see a vid like this, time-lapse or not, before. Gives myself and others such an appreciation of the work that goes into the re-leathering. For my money, the winged-eagle is THE crown jewel of title-belts and this one looks beautiful! Thanks for the vid! ✊🏾
I’m from the UK 🇬🇧 and I come from a background of very little money and me and my family have always worked and have a beautiful little girl to provide for, but I always managed to watch wrestling either it was at a friends or a cousins house watching the old schools Shawn Michaels, bret hart, stone cold, psycho Sid etc who have held this belt and have always wanted this belt, one day I’ll get one for myself, love this video 💯
Honestly these are the videos I could watch all day. I love seeing the process of how a real leather strap is made. I'm looking at ordering one for my Red Universal Championship and White IC belts I purchased recently. Absolute respect to you for the detail and work you do.
Just watching this video again, after watching the other belt makers I have seen on UA-cam, I still think your channel produces the best overall videos. My favorite belt of all time is the WWF intercontinental belt of the late eighties. However, it doesn't feel right without the WWF logo on it, same for the Tag and Winged eagle. I am not sure if I want to press my luck with a knockoff because it might turn out real bad, however, I have seen reviews of really good ones. The dual plated belts are really amazing with their ability to show off detail. Love the channel and if I can find the right belt I may buy it and send it to you for a custom strap.
It’s funny yesterday I was wondering how people make releathered straps for they’re replica belts and then this popped up on my recommended. Talk about perfect timing
I wish you would get back to do reviews as well as showing the leather straps again, I enjoyed those videos. With that said I had ordered the leather strap for the Seth Rollins WHC, looking forward to receiving it. Cordovan brown with white stitching.
Awesome video. You truly are the best I have ever seen. I’m a huge fan of your work and your videos. Thank you for the insight of how you do what you do. The meticulous way you create perfection is absolutely unbelievable. Thank you Paul!
Paul came across your channel a couple weeks ago and big fan of wrestling btw and as well as your work.. hopefully I’ll be buying both big gold and winged eagle leather straps from you very soon 🔥🔥🔥…
This is so satisfying to watch lol. I also find myself soooo jealous of the cleanliness and straightness of you bevel lines! God I wish mine were anywhere near that lol.
Hi Paul. I've been considering making a custom belt for myself but the snap box areas have always been a struggle for me. I was just wondering who I could get in contact with to get a custom stamp made for the snap box areas like the black one you used if you are willing to give out that information. I understand if you can't
This is amazing, I love how you've made it even more spectacular with the releather! I cannot wait to get both WCW big gold and WWF/WWE Winged Eagle (the 2021 version) releathered!
@@MarioRodriguez-hs5ls I think if you're gonna get a replica belt, it should look better than what WWE does with those stupid faux leather straps and faux jewels. When I inquired about a few months ago about my WCW big gold (figs inc 2005) replica, I was told it would cost £310 for the releather and restoning which to me imo is a real good price, especially when you see the amount of time that Paul does put into his work! It's just a shame that people do get scammed on the likes of eBay with those stupid belts from places like Pakistan.
dude that's so cool and it's so satisfying I could watch these videos all day what I really wanna know is how long does it normally take to make this kind of leather strap for a title belt?
I’d love to see this process for the more decorative straps like the US Spinner. Curious how the stars are done and stuff exactly how it looked on TV. This was nice
@@PaulMartinBelts I’m sure it won’t happen, but that custom US strap with the stripes and extending beyond the plate and star stamps is one I’d like to see. There was an option for a send-out but it’s gone. I was trying to save up for it.
God you're an artiste and I love the way that you create that strap from scratch. The tooling is amazing and I wish I had the money for you to redo the strap from my step dad's belt that we had when we had a company called XWA = Xtreme Wresting Alliance in Florida.
I admire this process. I've always been curious, what type of leather do you use? Is it Cowhide? What type of tanning on it? Your leather work is great.
That looks amazing mate, and speaking from past purchaes, I love the work you put into the straps. I always find it interesting how you do the stamping and tooling with hand presses and a small hammer. I can't begin to imagine how much you must ache after doing the camouflage tooling around the edges of the straps. Great work as always, cheers 🍻
Thanks very much! I really appreciate that! The camo tooling is pretty sore but is not actually the worst. The most finger bruising tooling I would say is the pattern on the WWE Heavyweight and Universal behind the centre plates!
Out of all the belts, that one is my favorite. I'm currently looking into doing releathers myself. where does a one get the snap box stamps and templates for the belts?

Hey Paul , how much would it cost to releather a vintage wcw cruiserweight championship ?
З чого той титул чемпіона з роблений з металу чи пластік??

Amazing work.
Couldn't you find different screws with flat heads?
How much to make me a strap for my winged eagle???
I can watch videos like this every day.
Thank you! Many more to come in the future
I watch it every day
Never thought I'd see the day where a major name on the releathering world would record & share his process. Always admired your work, Paul. Keep up the good work 👏
Thanks very much I appreciate that. If you haven’t seen back in November I made a similar video to this showing the process making an entire belt.

Painstakingly done by hand. I've always wondered how these leather beauties are made. Super cool of you to show us.
Making these by machines is one thing but this is truly hand crafted excellent piece!!

Man it's so relaxing watching someone so talented at work. Creating art here!
God damn I love when Paul does this. Especially with that instrumental music
The most beautiful belt ever created. Idk why they ever rid it
This video, in detail, makes me really appreciate all the hard work that goes into these straps! Wow Paul, your belts are amazing!
Thanks very much! I really appreciate that!
it's as beautiful as the day HBK won his 1st wwe championship

AMAZING!!!!!
How many hours are you need to make that masterpiece? I love it 🤩
Amazing vid. What size is the punch you used on the original strap for the screw ?
That's beautiful
Great video
What type of tool did you use to take the screws from the back of the belt @PaulMartinBelts
Great work how much for the big gold strap and winged eagle strap????
What's the tool used to take the backing off the screws?
2 questions 1 what leather punches do you use? And 2 where do you get your leather to start with?
Is this something you provide for regulars people and do you ship to the US?
Nevermind, the former was answered in the last part. Do you ship to the US?
