This is a critical issue.Nothing wrong with wachina in undertaking mitumba business.The best solution which can create chain of employment is.1.government to bann mitumba business.2.goverment to structure cotton farming.3.Investors to set up clothes manufacturing companies.Otherwise, why do we wear second clothes and we r blessed with cotton producing soil and climate.Still we have learned kenyans who can manage all these.Tuache ujinga.Why do we elect leader?
Mitumba from Chinese are basically new. Had a shop there na hizo bale zao hutoa Kila kitu mpya. They are packed like mitumba but are new replica. I left gikomba 5yrs ago and they already had stores there selling their new mitumba bales.

Mitumba business is a dying one and the government has been slowly killing it for a very long time now. Half of Gikomba now sells new stuff from China so while some people are complaining a very big % are supporting these peeps. Ukitimbea tao nowdays madame kwanza huwa wamevaa the same stuff always from China in the name of fashion. We made a big blunder by welcoming them na hawa watu wakiingia kwisha hawatoki.

You cannot just come from nowhere, build infrastructure, Import fake products and even worse sell those products in Kenya and send the money back to your country yet Kenya is having huge Chinese debts with thousands of unemployed youths depending on those businesses and even those who end up in China aren't allowed to do Businesses at this rate.
