I was in the other room curling my hair with You Tube set to play my favorites and it really hit me...It is an honest to God miracle that this man can still sing the way that he does and play the piano this way. After two decades of insane drug abuse,jail time, and a crazy childhood filled with every kind of abuse imaginable he is amazing. I normally watch El videos so I can get the visual( Oooo la la) and the audio which kind of splits my mental focus. When just listening to him I can really tune into the beautiful sounds that he produces with the piano and his voice. I really get a since of his spirit. GOD IS TRULY GREAT!!!!!

As someone who grew up on just about every genre of music, as a little kid my aunt was a HUGE fan of Switch and DeBarge and I got the opportunity to see and listen to their talent. I love the fact that even with their tumultuous upbringing, El himself pays homage to his brother. To me, both El and Bobby are two of the most talented artists I've ever listened to. And today at 35, their music is in constant spin while I travel. I grew up on their music and after listening to this version of Time Will Reveal, I'm even more impressed. In spite of his vices, the man has true talent that is untouchable. Much respect and prayers to both El and his family.

All I have to say is, "WOW!" A big portion of my childhood was based around DeBarge. El and his siblings fed my love for music. I saw the Unsung episode and was blown away about their upbringing. Seeing this video truly shows that no matter what you go through in life, true talent never dies and is never forgotten.
