Details, sharpness, seem identical to me. Only differences i see is in color and exposure of mainly buildings and signs. HDR On, it correctly adjusts to not overexpose, making a Tan buildings white, as u see in HDR Off mode. And, there is less contrast in shadows with HDR, as how it is supposed to be, gives more gradient range. In these conditions, both modes give excellent results. But, a broader range of conditions is needed to show HDR's weaknesses and when it should not be enabled.

I'm seeing better results with HDR Off.

Things more dynamic range with HDR on, less contrast with shadows many times, but not always. Overall, HDR on, Darker image. But it helps to not blow out bright objects like signs. Biggest thing i notice at 6:19, the color of the building on the left. Tan with HDR on, White and blown out with HDR off. Over all in, bright sunny clear conditions, HDR ON is just fine/as good as it off.
I think its its more glumy conditions, cloudy, rainy, dark, but not night, that i saw HDR was just terrible at.

The detail is so much better with HDR off!! How can you tell if you have the updated lens/made after July 2023?

This morning, I did some investigating on how to determine if you A119 Mini 2 has the updated lens. I found a different ring/bezel around the lens glass with the updated lens.
