In this video we check out 2 spooky Mario games. The very scary Mario 85 (also known as Mario PC Port) and a really unique Super Mario Bros. game called 1-1.exe. Both games have a unique twist on the classic 1-1 level.

*For 1-1.exe:*
3rd loop: stay in the empty coin room for a while, and a message will appear.
9th loop: get to the end before the block creature gets you. Collect the letter "A".
10th loop: die in the pit left of the warp pipe, then go to the left end for a secret.
1-G1: after collecting all red coins, go to the left end. Collect the "E".
1-G2: if you let time run out, you don't die instantly...
Also, you get a unique message if you don't collect any clocks.
1-G3: you already found that "T".

I actually didn't want to play it or look at a gameplay because I wanted to see the ending in your channel, and despite not being able to unlock the secret ending - if any - it really paid off! hey Darby, in case you want some info for the games you just played, Mario 85 is about a kid named Lucas who is trapped within the body of luigi, and is being tormented by a enitity know as MX, which was the big black version of mario.
as for 1-1 exe, I'm not sure about the story, but it has a demonic block that you trapped in a loop for its own amusement

dang, that last game was awesome, really different from those vanilla exe games with cheap jumpscares and fake "run away" sections where you clearly CANT escape, nice game, really impressive and fun, congrats to however did this game

The only thing I might be nitpicking about is the beginning of all the normal looking 1-1 had the wrong blocks at one point. Otherwise, it looks very nice game and I really enjoy the color based one. Pretty sure you can touch a dark red block if the text is the brighter red as well. Also interesting little hint of Sonic.EXE in there from the block. I guess the other ending required to jump over the flagpole and collect three different letters or something alike that when it was possible to jump over the flagpole. Last thing, when the level turned more spooky, the music sounds to be in reversed with the effect.

Strange, creepy, and then it got a little creative at the end. There were trigger points, it seemed like, in the 1st level repeating like that, and each checkpoint added a strange twist at each do over, until you reached the last checkpoint. So it was like the level didn't end when it did, the illusion just changed, which imbued (Lucus) closer, to his final destination.
Pretty cool stuff
It is not the kind of games you normally play on the channel, but one maybe worth checking out is "Superliminal". It is kind of fitting for the channel, in the way I see it.

1-1.exe had some real PT vibes with it at first. Gonig through he same level over and over again, wiht slight changes. Depending on when it came out, I would be surprised if PT wasn't an inspiration of sorts.
