There is no operator comfort, it is a very monotone position which can lead to severe bloodcloth on long working days. There is only one body position possible, the seat can be placed in different positions, but still the body remains in the same position, very bad. Sorry to say that. It is not only a volvo problem, most roller manufacturers have moved to this socalled ergonomic operator stations, but all have the same problem, the body positions are very monotone, and this is very bad for the health of the roller operator. One thing to improve is to place the driving lever near the steering wheel, if possible two levers , one on the right side of the steer and one lever on the left side of the steer. Than the seat must be possible to turn like an office chair. Than the roller operator becomes more possibilities to change his body position. One other important issue, don't put big armrest on the seat, this will form an obstruction to the body movement in the seat.

A correctly adjusted operator's seat increases operator comfort and safety. The adjustments that can be made are: Armrest angle adjustment, Backrest angle adjustment, Seat cushion horizontal adjustment, Cushion tilt adjustment, Height and weight adjustment.Besides the above mentioned operator seat adjustments, we have also provided different possibilities to adjust the steering and seat consoles. (1) Slide the steering and seat consoles left or right up to the cab door (sliding from side- to- side maintaining consistent orientation) (2) Tilt or Swivel the steering and seat consoles left or right by up to 90°. (total 180 degrees) (3) Adjust the inclination of the steering console. (4) Adjust the inclination of the display panel.Above possibilities support the operator not only to avoid monotone position, also to get clear view to work area for optimized safety and productivity. The operator controls are placed in line with the arm rest so that it can be operated in arm rested position to reduce operator fatigue significantly. Arm rest angle adjustment is provided to ensure comfort of individual operator. With regard to your query on providing two levers, most of operators prefer to have single lever system to avoid entry restrictions to operator’s seat.
