Wife and I just finished our second day of snorkeling at this sanctuary. An amazing variety of fish and coral. Yesterday we had good sun and so the sanctuary really lit up with colors. Today it was quiet cloudy so some amazing fish just a little duller in color. We found about 60 feet right of the bouy line and about halfway out to the boat parked to be the most populated but YMMV. As we swam I thought how much better it is to see fish in the natural habitat as opposed to an aquarium or tank. As the content creator noted the fish swim all around you and have not a care in the world that you are there.
Those are Garden Eels! We scuba dive in many countries and just become members during your last sale and will be selling everything and slow traveling full time in 4.5-5 years ourselves! We love yours and Dans videos and hope to be able to meet up with you someday! Oliver & Bobbie
Dauin also has the best diving instructors in the Philippines (and highest ranked in PADI / SSI). One thing, the sand near Dumaguete is magnetic sand, its darkness is because there is some magnetic minerals or metals are mixed in between. This sand can get attached to your electronic devices.. Doesnt even have to be outside but you know, you always also get sand in the backpack after being at beaches. If sand attaches to some USB port or something it is very complicated to get it out.
I've seen those eels coming out of the sand in some of my SCUBA dives in the Atlantic ocean (island of Bonaire). They were called Garden eels. It's probably the same thing here but for the Pacific ocean.
The little worm like critters coming out of the sand i think are type of eel. Surprisingly, Dan's vegan nachos looked like he got the better meal. Haha
Maayong adlaw! I bought a piece of undeveloped property in Maayong Tubig, Dauin, along the highway. Thinking of putting up a B & B place there, maybe, someday. Think it was a good idea, Dan?
3:38 Lol I never understood where the food goes.. I see you eating it, big portions, but... where does it go? :D haha Your secret will be worth millions - or is it just, sports?
You looked hot in Duma. I live in Baguio. Nice and cool here 78F here today and no drunken foreigners just LOTS of young people as there are several colleges here.
@@HoboVentures Haha! I don't like to call it then "pulled pork" "pulled jack" is maybe a better name then. :) Btw: Nice Interview with Shay (I did see that by accident..) :)

Dauin is Finn Snow's playground, hope you meet him. He's an authority on diving sites
No luck for us that day. Maybe next time!

Red Rock Hot Spring is in the mountain town of Valencia, about 25 minutes drive from Dumaguete City.
