It has been said that there exists a place in which all of histories most important and influential tank designs rest, a place where the tanks are lined all the way to the horizon, somewhere that the mortal tank enthusiast can experience true enlightenment. For years we thought this place was only of legend, or The Tank Museum in Bovington, but now; I tell you that it is real, and it is here!
This is my 2nd trip to the Fort Moore (previously Fort Benning) Armor and Cavalry Collection down in Georgia where I got to see some of the most amazing and rare tanks in the world! This year was truly something special, and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I've had making it!!

Watching this while being eaten alive by probably new species of flies on way home from work

I saw ETA touch the shermans inapropriately
C'mon. Everyone here is guilty of that. No need to snitch
My personal tank heaven is the Deutches Panzermuseum in Munster, germany, only 10 hours of driving!
Definetly beats the 16hr flight and the extra hour it takes for me to get there
Dude same, it’s only around 2 hours from where I live and it’s amazing
Honestly I have no issue if Eta makes these videos longer than an hour. It’s something to keep me interested while building model tanks
As an avid lover of the Type-95 Ha Go I will say that Eta is super brave for crouching right next to and then directly touching the massive ring of pure asbestos coating the roadwheels of the tank.
yeah the Ha-Go is so cute and deadly (to its crew)
@@azuresstuff2363 they are so well armored they can(T) stand 50.Cals!!
Eta got the homeless man facial hair
The tanks are cool too
He's trying to look older to get more money from people on the streets in case youtube doesn't work out
sgt.Oddball vibe
@Foodconsumer2137 he can rob people with the gun behind him
33:55 blud didn't went inside the Ontos cuz he know it would fit him perfectly.
Here ETA became a MAN by touching an M-51 :)
There is a nice tank museum in Saumur, France, it is called musée ee blindes
It was awesome to be able to experience this again.
Might be my last for a bit. Thoroughly enjoyed gaining knowledge and having good conversations with both you and Taylor.
The video is very well done!
I wouldn’t be opposed to having a video where Eta does go tank by tank giving a 15 minute history lesson on each tank
I was just at the Rickenbacker air show in Columbus. Ohio and they had a reenactment with a hvss 76 sherman, a 75mm sherman and a Hetzer all running and firing their guns. Im sure the Hetzer was probably Czechoslovakian made but it was really cool to see one driving. They also had a 38mm 50mm and a 75mm pak gun. A M5 scout car also a Dodge jeep truck looking thing and a german half track gun hauler. It was really neat to hear them all move and shoot plus the pak guns shot as well!
Im already planning my second pilgrimage to Bovington! Love the new content.
I remember the first time I got to see the collection during basic such an awesome place
I really like the video. As a tank fan myself, the only tank heaven I been to is the Tank Museum in Bovington.
round 1: T-54 vs M48
round 2: T-55 vs M60A1 vs Leopard 1A1
The bf1 music as soon as the MK V land ship pops in is perfect
I live in Georgia, and the Fort Moore Museum is amazing.
keep the beard going, we need wizard eta
Love this kind of impromptu video. The only way it could have been is if it were longer 🔥
7:00 poor dude got humiliated because he forgot that that wasn’t true
Every video is a hit but the LA Noire music at the end makes them masterpieces

You look tired boss 😆
Nah mate you should visit Aus Armor in Australia man! They've got an awesome collection there and they're rebuilding a lot of tanks, check em out here down under!
Think I saw Eta on the way out at somepoint because I distinctly recall at somepoint seeing an OD jacket on a somewhat homeless looking man lol. Loved my time there though, was fun getting to just nerd out about tanks and feel the 120s from two Abrams go off at the later Live Fire Exercise
I got to visit the collection going on close to three years ago, during my time in training at then Fort Benning. I’ve always wanted to go back after I’ve spent the intervening years on armor. Fun stuff.
33:18 - Scared Centurion AVRE noises

afaik France didn't send any AMC 35S (SOMUA 35) to the USA for the simple reason that when the purchasing commission came to the US, the germans were kinda already breathing down france's neck, and deliveries were lagging behind the needs
but what were sent were plans of the things to see if the US could produce the tank for France, the working theory is that since the tank relied on large castings (the hull is 4 huge cast parts bolted together + the turret), some materials relating to the production of such large casts were also sent, which the us drew on to develop the production processes allowing to cast major elements of the sherman
also fun fact, Charles De Gaulle was part of the french mission to the USA, and him seeing the US production capabilities was one of the reasons that cemented his will to keep the fight, seeing the US as the allied manufacturing base from which materials could pour out to continue the fight and eventually liberate France
the white roundel painted on the tank here isn't the AAPG symbol, but a recognition marking from one of the various notices pushed right before war were declared, as france was relying on very large reserves, many of which never saw those tanks before (the S35 was introduced in 1935 but real serial production really only starts 1938), and the GHQ was worried about blue-on-blue incidents from older personnel unfamiliar with the new equipment (also the reasons we saw things like large french flags painted on some tanks turret back)
You look so swag with the shades Eta
It’s tank bossu!!!
35:34 M2 MEDIUM LETS GO
Here, have your first like on this video :)
Also, have you ever been to a German Tank Museum?
Wish you were able to show off some of the artillery they have as well. There's a very cool and obscure WW2 Japanese 105mm recoilless gun kept there that just about everyone sandbag's and ignores.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I wanna see more of that camera man
i love both the mbt 70 and the kpz 70
grand papa eta
M14/41 my beloved
Tank Tankman is back!
April 27th, you went to your favourite tank museum for the second time
Same day (UK standard time) i went to the Bovington Tank Museum for the first time
dude I thought I saw you there had gone down during my bday and was just on my way out. should have stopped to say hello.
FWIW, the lower rear hull on that GMC M36 is characteristic of vehicles modified in Yugoslavia to accept Soviet diesel engines.
You’re right! The M36 in the collection was a former Yugoslavian tank, however the engine deck itself is still indicative to me of an original gas powered M36 tank
@@eta320 yes, absolutely! :)
Since im early i got a request, can we get more tanmk? it has recieved a big update that i think you will enjoy
God I saw that M13/41 behind the Ha Go and was like oh I cant wait for Eta to get to that and then u moved on ;-;
Theres a good tank museum in cairns, northan qld.
Oh M50 my beloved. We have one at the Museum of the American GI but we only drive it around, it doesn’t see any re-enactments, but it’s still cool.
I love the thing I wish it was in Arma3
Eta should write the tank bible
the hoi4 music is crazy
i could care less about how poorly i can hear him im just happy to have a guy yap to me about something i (and him) are grossly educated about
I went there a couple of years ago on a visit to the US it was very nice.
Also, do you ever plan on visiting Kubinka or the Royal Tank Museum?
We love you ETA
Bro the nearest tank museum to me in hours away 😭🙏
i was there this and last year we very briefly met last year i wish i could have met you this year i even had a line and everything (when i saw you i was gonna say "oh shit look its a b-tier tank youtuber")
Unbelievable
Ow nice. Aren't they also restoring a panther? Was looking on their social media and they have some crazy stuff.
Found you from your most recent video, really good work on finding that Panther
The reason why some Cavarly makes for better tanks in multiple ways is because Cavalry is not just Light Horse "we harass the back of the enemy line"
Its also the Shock/Breakthrought idea.
If you think about a Knight, a Kurassier, or other stuff, either Lance or later Pistol armed, those were the men that would charge into the thick of it.
The problem with Cavalry tanks is that they need speed for it, so until you get good enough engines you can't do what you want... but then you get stuff like the Comet that is it. good armor and good gun because the engine is good enoug for them.
Same happened with horsemen, you only had stuff like Cataprachs, later Knights, etc because the horses were bread to be strong and carry all they needed, but it took time.
Ofc armor design gets better over time, but you would not be able to make a Knight out of a Early Republican Roman Equites
Btw this is a opnion, but remember that Cavarly role was that as well.
As the local German, of which there is many I am sure, I shall defend the jagdtiger naming scheme.
I shall rightfully declare, like the designers likely did, that it started with a Tiger on a drawing board, as such it shall be one. No matter how often it has been erased utterly.
TECHNICALLY, it is correct.
Now, you may consider that trivial and point out the amount of times in which we broke that rule, but thats besides the point I am making and would defeat my argument, as such it shall be ignored in true German Tank designer fashion.
Good day to you sir.
And may there be well rendered video game Shermans in your dreams.
Best tank museum ive been to is arsenalen in stockholm sweden
You look like my old Algebra teacher
He was awesome
Great video!
BEARD!
Good to see you again lmao
On a reproduction m151 that we just bought I end up getting an American style jerrycan that look like the ones that were produced in world war II it might have been world war II production it might have not been because it doesn't have a year it was made but it does have a United States Marine core letters on it
Eta, you have too much beard for the "kept you waiting" metal gear meme.
Jokes aside, great vid m8
If I'm not mistaken. Isn't this museum's tiger scheduled to become the second running tiger in the world?
I'm going there to
29:10 Was that a cut or what? The dude in the back just poofed.
23:43 actually if we follow what the Saumur tank mueseum culutural mediator, Romain, said, the "FT-17" is not a right name at all, the "17" has been added by a german writer during the interwar, who wanted to do like a tank encyclopedia.
You probably know that FT doesn't mean anything, but during the WWI, "Char Renault FT modèle 1917" was never a thingn just like the Chenillette Renault UE, these letters are just code, FT doens't mean "Franchiseur de Tranchée" (trench crosser) or "Faible Tonnage" (light weight), it's just FT, bcs FT
If its going to be a yearly pilgrimage, you better change your name to 'the tank messiah'
Eta got the teddy k hair in the intro
ahem.......benning
Bro really starting to look like Sherman Jesus
That medium tank with oscillating turret outside was T54E1 right? At first I thought it was T69 but then I remembered that T69 actually has nice paint.
I believe so, i know the T69 in indoors
What's not there.... the av7 cause we have the last one
i just realized how much you look like christian bale
mbt 70 kneeling forwards slightly
there shermna in finland
andd bt42 you dont have there hehe
Of course it's the hoi4 music
Go to kubinka in Moscou
IS-7 when?
M60 AOS based
Yeah i was waiting 7 DAYS
HOW DARE YOU
IDK thw kzp 70 is cool
Shoveel
What day was the video taken on?
weird question: when did you get that beard?
I was like 12 when my beard started to appear, but I would always use a razor to still look beardless. when I was like 15 I started letting it grow. nowadays (20yo) I have a full beard, but my mustache never connected to it.
idk if its weird, but my brother, my dad and my grandad had full beards with connecting moustaches and mine never did. idk how to make it do that lol. I envy yours hehe.
I started growing facial hair in my last year of High School, but it was scraggly and patchy and didn't look good. Right after I graduated, I interviewed for, and got, my first IT job. For that process I completely clean shaved. Once I started working, I let my facial hair grow back, and for awhile it was still High Schooler patchy scraggly beard but I just kept going and maybe half a year in I had it looking good. I have not gone clean shaven since.
just looking how this mans beard is growing is making me realize the passage of time
i do not like this XD
28 views in 2 minutes? eta you really fell off....
(ps. love your videos, can you play a ship game?)
hi
What kind of tanker jacket is Eta wearing?
I believe it's a replica WWII tanker jacket from at the front.
Is Eta20 a Georgia boy 🤔
Virginia iirc
Now build a tank in real life.
now go to kubinka😶
No! You're not Solid Snake! Stop inpersonating him!
Needa shave that beard a little lol, you're looking 50 years old with that fade
the 4 dislikes are Russians because their tanks werent mentioned in the first 9 minutes of the video, i must note i did skip ahead rather than watching half of the video
7 views in 24 seconds smh you fell off
