This is amazing, love your story. As a fellow Latina, I was so pleased to see that we have a lot of similarities. I really want to go to UChicago one day.
@@Bnmvgkfglk I'm a graduate student. it's never too late but the older you are the less you'll be able to relate to other undergraduate students unless you go somewhere that has a lot of older students.
I just stumbled upon this video but I'm currently a third year at UChicago and I'll be a fourth year next year! It's an amazing place and I love it! Congrats!
Uchicago is very classist. It's very hard to get good grades or do extra curricular activities if your school doesn't even offer AP or you have to work at some fast food place to pay for bills. If you don't have the funds or time to retake tests, it's an unfortunate mark on your application. If you do get in, please make sure to fight for student worker's rights and give back to the community (instead of say, tutoring already wealthy "smart" kids for side money).
@@karlabanks4908 yes, they also mentioned this on their website. from what i’ve seen in the recent admission cycle, uchicago is generally reasonable.. you can always reach out to students on reddit or the admission officers for questions!
