I have 2 college teammates from Lesotho. They are very proud to be from Lesotho and we have been talking about this past World Cup window. Great guys and very humble people and I’m glad to call them my friends. It would be crazy if they qualified.

The Gabon match is even crazier when you discover that they came from behind to win against The Gambia after there was a massive delay due to a power outage in the stadium. They were losing pre-power outage.

As a Singaporean I enjoy the fact that Hassan Sunny is loved more in China than he is here lol.
Also fun fact: The Albirex Niigata he plays for is the satelite club of the J1 League side of the same name (Or was, at least, not sure of the status now) and play in the Singapore Premier League.
The Singapore club is still a satellite under the J1 League side, but now with localization, they can finally qualify for AFC competitions.
Not that they will anytime soon, considering this might be Hassan Sunny's worst season in Singapore so far 😅

I really enjoy your content and maybe have a little suggestion for you
with the European Cup starting, you could make a video about the most bizarre EC in the history, maybe even one of the weirdest Football-Tournaments of all time. The EC 1992, where Denmark, being an complete Underdog somehow managed to win the cup, although they weren´t even qualified in the first place. The players actually went on vacation and just 8 days before the Cup they showed up (they qualified bc Yugoslavia was banned) und basically partied all the time and ate a lot of Fastfood etc. Still they could beat Top Teams like France, Germany etc.

As a Thai watching that game against Singapore. It was a very dissapointing results. Our Strikers was not good in front of the goals at all. 35 Shots on 4.8 xg but managed to score just 3 goals.
Kudos to Singapore team that executed their game plan very well. Ikhsan Fandi score a great goal and was very decisive.
Big blow for my friends and relatives in Syria and Vietnam - in the last two games threw their qualifying chances in the bin after being 2nd for most of the 3rd round group stage!
Real shame but hopefully you will get there one day Syria and Vietnam - two of a handful of ‘up and coming’ Asian teams that are destined for great success in the near future… I hope

I was watching the Thailand - Singapore game, and I recognised that it did not matter if Thailand conceded 1 more goal as long as they scored 1 more. So there was a moment with 2 minutes of injury time to go, and Singapore are through on goal, chip it over the keeper, and the Thai defender scrambles the ball off the line, straight back to Singapore, who proceed to waste another minute with their possession that Thailand could have been using to try to score. It would have been better for Thailand if their defender just let the ball go in the goal, so that Thailand could regain possession from kick off and try to score with the small amount of time remaining. It would probably have also provoked Singapore into attacking more as well, as they would then have only been 1 goal down, and so may have opened up more space for them to score.
Alas, the craziest but most logical football moment did not happen, probably because the Thai defence weren't checking their phones mid game to know that conceding 1 more goal was irrelevant to their qualification chances
