In my very first run (sorcery, because i'm a magic-user by heart), this was the only thing i had or could use that allowed me to beat the Ringleader Gaol to get Alecto.
dual wielded attacks are definitely stronger obviously, but my high damage output came from the tear that i used (thorny cracked tear) stacked with millicents prosthesis and rotten sword insignia. the ranni skin was a mod, same with the melina one.
DMGS uses Shard of Alexander and Godfrey Icon. Other talismans and armor to taste. Get enough Str and Dex to wield it, vigor to your preference defending on how sure you are that you'll survive a mistake, a little mind, decent stamina, then stack int.
I'm not him but based on his health bar, mind, stam, and damage. Hes using a dagger for golden vow and not the spell. Its safe to assume its a base vigor (its a no hit run) build and 80 int. Base stat requirements for the moonlight GS otherwise.
Staff is used for Terra Magica and Moon which buff & debuff far more than Jelly Shield but it's stackable if you want to swap. It's honestly unnecessary as the DMGS does so much damage it does matter.
