Use of petrol is not recommended. Petrol contains oil that does not go well with refrigerants. Even if it is flushed with air the oil will stay on the lining of the coils and cause problems in future. Flushing with liquid nitrogen, alcohol and warm water mixed with soap and then dried with flushing with hot air is recommended.
Only use a single ingredient flushing compound eg 100% pure hydro carbon liquid which 100% evaporates . Using fuel /gas = petrol u most likely will leave chemical deposits behind from the fuel . After flushing use pure nitrogen to blow through not work shop air [contains moisture and debris ] Once u have cleaned and flushed if you have used the wrong cleaning methods it will show when you use a vacuum pump with micron gauge . A micron gauge needs to obtain under 200 microns and can easily take 1-2 days of vac pump usage . Micron gauges HATE contaminated systems . TIP after flushing with correct fluid blow thru with nitro will reduce vac pump time by 50%
