I don't mean this to sound as an anti LordKnight/Snake Eyez post, but on their set I feel that LK was having too many execution errors and made it a bit hard to watch. Snake Eyez deserves his W this weekend but I wish LK could've perhaps sort something out before the set?
You're on top 8 against Snake Eyez, I'd be surprised if anyone can keep perfectly calm in that situation. The sad truth is that it happens and you gotta take those.
Even though Snake Eyez is world-class level, the litmus test still is Japanese/asian competition. If they aren't In the tournament, when it comes to FGs, it is a risky endeavour to try and determine rankings. FAB isn't doing so hot with Pot there. Granted, he probably isn't training Strive like he used to.
When you use psych burst (the thing they use to break out of combos) when you aren’t stuck in a combo and it hits you get 100% tension gauge. The particles and effect are also swapped from blue to gold. Hence why it’s called “gold burst”
Specifically, gold burst is when you use psych burst in a neutral state (Using burst while blocking an attack causes a blue burst just like getting hit) 100% meter gives a massive advantage, especially for characters with a quick gap closer to RC and force a mixup. It is certainly useful in specific scenarios, but overall its use cases are for more infrequent than blue burst. Damage in strive is very high; so unless you can guarantee it'll hit and give you good chance of winning, you're usually better off saving your burst to escape a combo.
Sajam has some nerve talking about how other people need to be entering tournaments, when he's currently my number one "person I want to see in an offline bracket"
1:34:00 that’s not brave…. It’s a LEO PLAYER !!! I will not let go of the hate for the monkey NEVER ! Also towards the end I felt it too, bro why is Snake Eyez soo good !? He’s beating everyone online and you tell me he doesn’t enter tournaments !? This man doing a disservice to everyone ! Make them other Pot players believe they can win too ! Thanks for helping me figure out one of the longest mystery on why Pot could C.G in the barrier. I have no shame in admitting I was lazy and didn’t want to lab that interaction for the few amounts of Potemkin I go against.
As a player who fights a lot of pot his normals are busted and that mirror is some bull. Pot far slash went through my Gun flame. The gun flame was in his arm pit. An the feeling of loss you get when the mirror super comes out an you have no tech against it.
1:40 "Pot has a good backdash" I wish, he has the 2nd worst backdash in the game before Sin. Having an extra invul frame doesn't justify how laggy it is.
One thing I'll note is that a lot of potemkin players don't just use HPB when their opponent is jumping, which is kind of weird. It's crazy to me because these are people jumping in tournament against Pot with 50% in execute range, I'm willing to bet a lot of them haven't actually had any real matchups against Pot. Also Snake Eyes drops a LOT of his combos, my god.
HPB really isn’t as good of an option as any form of RC to gain or maintain corner. Sure it’s big damage, but Pot already does big damage. And… yeah of course they’ve had real matchups against Pot. That’s a part of playing at a high level. There are Celestial Potemkins to practice against, and of course Snake Eyez himself. Don’t doubt pros. They always know way more about the game than you.
@a.m.6901 It's an execution move, you don't need to gain/maintain, it wins you the round. Celestial is not high level either, park is. Celestial is a formality. You say the pros have experience but tbh, they don't. If Snake Eyes didn't drop combos or used hpb he would have had a clean sweep.
@@ShouVertica You could also win a round off an anti-air RC combo, dealing the same damage. And I’m not going to argue about the knowledge of pros with someone who isn’t one.

As a potemkin player I like Snake Eyes potemkin but he can get so tilted and toxic sometimes
It's seriously an example of never meet your heroes. Amazing player. In my opinion the best to ever come out of the US FGC. But horribly toxic individual.
@@joelhenry5489 most definitely. As a player he has amazing skill. His Potemkin isn't like any other potemkin I've seen. It's just sucks to see that amazing Potemkin being played by a person who likes to say "if I switched mains it would be over for you" like he didn't pick the damn character. I love how he plays but not the way he talks
why is rat kinda fine tho
the may downplayers are going crazy, what the hell
I don't mean this to sound as an anti LordKnight/Snake Eyez post, but on their set I feel that LK was having too many execution errors and made it a bit hard to watch. Snake Eyez deserves his W this weekend but I wish LK could've perhaps sort something out before the set?
It happens
that's just how tournaments are. Snake eyez had his own drops as well that hurt to see
You're on top 8 against Snake Eyez, I'd be surprised if anyone can keep perfectly calm in that situation. The sad truth is that it happens and you gotta take those.
"I have never played in a big bracket/on stream/under any kind of pressure whatsoever"
yeah snake eyez left sfv for GG like completely about faced from SFV I was in the stream the day dropped it lol
His reads thoooooooooooooo
Rat is so good
damn flare vs rat, hard not to root for either
It's all about the gap
It makes me sad seing snake eyes beating up my favorite character lol.

Never has been.
What is gold burst?
When you use psych burst (the thing they use to break out of combos) when you aren’t stuck in a combo and it hits you get 100% tension gauge. The particles and effect are also swapped from blue to gold. Hence why it’s called “gold burst”
@@kaladinstormblessed8790 thank you. Is it a viable tactic?
Specifically, gold burst is when you use psych burst in a neutral state (Using burst while blocking an attack causes a blue burst just like getting hit) 100% meter gives a massive advantage, especially for characters with a quick gap closer to RC and force a mixup. It is certainly useful in specific scenarios, but overall its use cases are for more infrequent than blue burst. Damage in strive is very high; so unless you can guarantee it'll hit and give you good chance of winning, you're usually better off saving your burst to escape a combo.
@@95PTorres absolutely. While I wouldn’t fish for one, the 100% tension is a BIG advantage. See the reply for krowe for more specifics
Sajam has some nerve talking about how other people need to be entering tournaments, when he's currently my number one "person I want to see in an offline bracket"
11:38 hmm the Pot downplayers are awfully silent all of the sudden
snakeeyez is the messiah of pot players and like and unlike jesus he's gone in a month once SF6 is out
LK got robbed, wish he still played millia
I hope Pot players stop crying about their character 24/7, he's obviously really strong as seen here, you just suck with him
1:34:00 that’s not brave….
1:36:00 I don't like getting grabbed.
Remove QTEs from fighting games.
I'm glad both Snakeeyez and Snaketits are back.
Man I wanna see lk win a big tourney
As a player who fights a lot of pot his normals are busted and that mirror is some bull. Pot far slash went through my Gun flame. The gun flame was in his arm pit. An the feeling of loss you get when the mirror super comes out an you have no tech against it.
1:40 "Pot has a good backdash"
I wish, he has the 2nd worst backdash in the game before Sin.
HPB hitbox and scaling is ass, it's safer to just go into a giganter confirm
@@kerbonaut2059 Not in corner
