I used to watch this show when they had it in my country (all these game shows get licenced out to different countries) and I don't think I've even seen anyone win more than 20k. They always find a shitty, ambiguous question like this to kick you off. I don't think it even matters what you answer cause it pure bs.
It's like Fifteen Million Merits if it wasn't a talent show. I think they intentionally fucked her over with the 'are you a good person?' question. She probably was telling the truth but they were just like 'we're not giving her any money'.

The two things I cannot get over: 1. She coulda walked away with 10k with little damage done. but the bigger one is 2. Did she not take a polygraph previous to the taping of the show? That's what's matching her answers. Like she answered all of these questions before, knew they were coming, and STILL chose to do the show. That's wild.
the producer said that she told him she would tell the whole truth take the money and leave her husband (they agreed to split the money, and their marriage was already falling apart) when he asked her if she is going back to her ex ( because he knew she still love him from the polygraph test) she said no!
i feel like they suggested the questions cause how would they know she was questioning getting married if not the mom or sister giving them suggestions

So probably every married person gets asked that, but she was the only contestant to have answered yes so that's the question that got asked on-air for her.

Honestly glad that I'm not the only one thinking this while watching the video lol. The Black Mirror vibe is so strong it's insane. Regular human beings get caught into a seemingly normal situation that turns out to be a twisted manipulative game, forcing them to reveal their true nature. Charlie Brooker can absolutely adapt this into a future episode.
This is real tv. Not even a fan of game shows but this is so good. The build up, the drama, it’s all so expertly crafted. I mean bringing out the ex boyfriend is insane. How did this get canceled but we have like 50 different singing competitions

Its not even that she actually thinks she's a good person, its that she didn't think she was a good person but still lied about it after everything. This feels like its straight out of a novel with how poetic it feels.

actually they use hundreds of questions, most of them are related and they do it for lot of people. I remember this show, I think it got canceled because so many of the contestants ended up divorced and fired from their jobs. Eventually no one was willing to appear on the show. It was a complete dumpster fire.

actually they use hundreds of questions, most of them are related and they do it for lot of people. Lauren specifically caught the attention of the team and the producer himself contacted her, she told him she will tell the truth take the money and leave the husband and when he asked her if she would go to the Bf she still love, she answered NO!
