I did compared the Softube British Class A and Lindell 80 to the Hardware EQ, the Softube won hands down it had that low end bump these 73 were known for, the lindell 80 eq acted like a clone, the preamp section of the British Class A is a vintage 1073 modelled from the console so it has more saturation compared to the 1073 module which didn't give as much even harmonics and mostly gave odd ones, the compressor was a little hard to match with a more modern neve compressor but it almost sounded the same, the class a was just more fuller, the Lindell 80 compressor isn't there yet.
Hey man, thanks for your reaction. Great to hear you did this test. I also have mixed feelings about the Lindell, it is not as versatile as the Softube in terms of how you can shape the sound. If the Lindell works, it works well, if it doesn't; move on to somethings else. I liked it on drums and bass though.
Hey man, thank you very much for your feedback! I tried a different approach for the voice over in this video, which in multiple ways didn’t work as well as the old way. Appreciate your feedback! 🔥
I used to use the lindell....then started to use analog obsession british bundle....free and top notch. One guy making free plugins and they sound just like the companies. Nothing more to say
Thank you for such a helpful video! Although, I do have to say, I hope I never have to hear a soloed vocal on a gear demo ever again.
I bet you know the words by heart now 😂

My understanding is that hw 1073 produces even order harmonics. If the Lindell produces odd order harmonics, that's "odd".😅😅
Great video. Please turn up your commentary volume closer to audio sample. I constantly adjusted my volume to compensate.

Hey man, thanks for your reaction. I know some of the analog obsession stuff, so great jou like it. I'm going to check it out once more!
you left the compressor on the lindell and have it off on the softube so it’s not an accurate comparison
