I wish I hadn't clicked on your channel randomly last month, I have bought/ordered so much junk I don't need since. 6 months in lockdown will do that to you.
Most of my figure buying goes through Tokyo Otaku Mode. Their money back in point form has me anchored with them at the moment. I did do an Ami Ami purchase once a few months ago, but I wasn't smart and didn't think about bulk ordering being better. I got a Holo Christmas outfit acrylic standee because it was something different I didn't have, and I have all the expensive Holo figures that I want. Though because of my inexperience with Ami Ami, the 16 dollar standee shipped out, ending up costing me 36 dollars total. I tend to buy only new figures, but if I can get a nice selection of gently loved figures that have all the packaging, like I saw in this video, for cheap, I'll be happy. I do have a massive horde of over 40 figures still in box with 36 on preorder. So, at the moment I don't have to worry about buying figures for a bit, when it comes to making my figure unboxing videos. Your video was a very helpful watch. I'll add that buying clothes from Japan or other Asian countries doesn't really work, as they don't sell in western sizes. That XL in our sizing is at most a small or medium in ours. The worst thing is to buy anime clothes from know bootleg/Chinese sites. I did once not thinking about sizing or make. Ordered a 2xl, it was at most a medium. Stupidly I ordered the same shirt again at what they called 4xl, to find out that their idea of a shirt of a different size was just sewing in a different size tag into the same tiny shirt.
I'm glad I was pointed to this channel, because without it I wouldn't have bought my first figure. It won't come out until June or July, but at least it's of my favorite girl Oshino Shinobu. I was reminded of that when you brought up the EXQ line from Banpresto, because it was part of that. I'm only disappointed I didn't pull the trigger when the white dress version was still on sale, I couldn't find it anywhere pre-owned before getting the new one, but it still looks good in black. That Touhou (toe-hoe) figure also looks really nice.
new to your channel ^^ I use mandarake, its a store in japan and they have super cheap figures that can be cheaper if there's box damage or of it was a storefront item. I paid about £20 total for the cardcaptor sakura frog costume and it arrived in less than a week :)
Hello Animeplz123 Just wanted to say a big thank you for inspiring me to start a figure collection, I've got a manga and anime dvd/blu-ray collection but never thought about the figure side. Since showing me the websites to collect these figures I've now have a collection of 6 Figure with a further 14 ordered for the rest of the year. Anyway this is sounding a bit soppy so just again want to say a big thank you
I’m new to collecting anime figures and I bought my first 1 a month ago and then another one a few days later. I then bought 5 more figures this month. I actually don’t really cant that much about authentic figures as long as they are in good condition
I've been meaning to start a toy collection aside from my videogames. Sadly all I have are the re-issues of the He-man & the Masters of the universe line, a Ghostbuster that looks like Bill Murray, an Optimus Prime and a couple of die cast D&D figurines, all of which i got at Walmart. I've only got a small apartment but I'd like to get into a bigger place and start collecting anime figurines. So Its nice to know there will be cheaper options I can go to to get previously loved figures.

Or, alternatively, you can browse whatever your country's equivalent of Craigslist is, carefully check the pictures, especially boxes to confirm it's not a bootleg, then order it directly from another collector (or their fed-up families/spouses lol). This ensures not only a low shipping cost as the item only has to travel within your own borders (bonus points for being more eco-friendly if that's your thing too), but also a fairly reasonable cut that platform such as these usually charge. I was able to buy otherwise fairly expensive scale figures that I otherwise couldn't have reasonably afforded this way, and I'm talking HUGE savings here, say like 60/80$ instead of 200$, 30/60$ instead of 150$, that's how insane some of these deals are ! For instance, I just missed a huge opportunity to get a sealed, pristine "Good Smile Company - Fate Stay Night UBW - Rin Toshaka 1/7" earlier today, it was only 80 $ too like WTF dude !! Still got myself a sealed "Good Smile Company - Fate Stay Night - Saber Lily Distant Avalon 1/7" for the same price from the same vendor though so I'm a happy camper. For folks who're more on a budget, that's also a great pathway to buying ridiculously cheap prize figures (say 15$ or so, 20$ shipped to your door) to begin a collection. So far I haven't encountered any issues with damaged or counterfeit figures, all came in pretty good condition (or as advertised) with their original boxes and accessories. Make real sure you get a feel for the vendors though, ask for information and pictures, have a good chat with them, but MOST OF ALL don't fall for the classic paypal "friends and family" or direct bank account transfer kinds of scams, instead use your platform of choice's built-in payment solution to secure the transaction, these few extra bucks can save you from a lot of pain ! Finally, IMO it's good practice to let the vendors know you'll take good care of their beloved figure, so that maybe they don't feel as bad about letting it go, being considerate never hurt anyone. Have fun chasing after your favorite figures !
